Usagi's New Life: .... Everyone Knew Their Part [Episode 31190]

by Kender

"Somehow, I don't think that these guys are looking for a cup of sugar," muttered Makoto.

"I don't think that they just want to introduce themselves either," growled Haruka.

"They're scary..," whimpered Usagi as she hid behind Ranma.

The pigtailed boy was forced to agree. Something about the guys they were facing was off somehow, and not in a good way.

Standing on the deck were a bunch of guys who looked like they were out of some kind of period piece about feudal China. Each was armed with some sort of weapon, and they looked ready to use them. But it was the face, particularly the eyes that were the frightening parts, for their eyes were empty white as if having been drained of even the outlines of the pupils. And on their sneering visages was the same character looking at the same time painted on, but also as if part of the skin.

On the wind, a bodiless voice mumured, "... for those we defeat, they will become one with the crew..."

"Uh... I don't think so," said Ranma.

There was no answer from the zombies as they charged, their weapons ready to strike.

Ranma caught the blade of a broadsword between his palms and rolled onto his back before kicking the creature off somewhere behind him. It got up and cracked its neck before turning to the individual nearest to him, who happened to be Minako. She screeched and swiped at the monster, only to seperate head from shoulders. The head landed in her hands and groaned up at her.

"EEEEKKK!" she yelled and tossed the head overboard where it's body followed it.

At the same time, Usagi had found herself separated from her master and backing up to find that something wicked was coming her way. Still retaining a bit of her old clumsiness, she fell backwards and looked up in terror at her attacker. It raised its spear at her and she cringed as she figured out what was going to happen.

"No!" called out the bunnygirl, as she kicked out in an attempt to save herself. The attempt worked as she caught the creature at the waist, and used her legs to kick it far away, out to sea in fact. "Did I do that?"

Nearby, Haruka was dealing with a couple of zombies that had tried to jump on to help their confederates. They might be especially fast for undead creatures, but they hadn't counted (as much as mindless beings could) on the counterassault of someone as fast as the doggirl. She got under the reach of one and kept on hitting it with fast punches forcing it to back up until it hit the railing. Once it did, then a swift kick sent it over the side and out of the fight.

Hotaru looked one of Haruka's opponents that had decided leave the doggirl to come after her and stood her ground. She wasn't about to run away and let the monster get her master and friends. The creature swung its staff at her... only to have it caught in very firm grip. Then a shift of the hips on her part resulted in the zombie going flying off into the fog.

For her part, Setsuna wasn't one for fancy moves. So when she found a zombie charging at her, she kicked over a pail of something better not identified. As she watched, the creature slid on the slick substance, allowing her to help it along it way off the boat.

Wielding a hanging rope with a really heavy pully on the end, Michriu allowed Ami to lure their opponents in with her agility. Once they were in range, the foxgirl would send the pully flying to slam into the zombie that she had targeted. And while it was stumbling, Makoto would help it go over the edge.

And as the last of the zombies were tossed off,:
