Kasumi blinked a few times to clear her eyes from the sudden flash - but contrary to expectations her face did not settle into vacant docility. Instead a hint of a frown appeared. She appeared to be shrugging off the effect of the stun gun already.
"Father, what are you doing? A neuralizer is not a toy. In fact, it's not even indigenous technology on this planet. Who gave you that?"
Seeing their plan falling apart, Agent Souun reacted according to his normal personality. Since he only had two modes of dealing with unforeseen events like this - fake heroic resolve or crying like a weenie - the choice was easy, especially when the situation was compounded by the mild reproach in Kasumi's voice.
"Bububut Kasumi!" Agent Souun blubbered weepily, "I only wanted what's best for me- err, you, I mean. We just-" He fell silent, as something went click within his mind. When he continued, it was in an emotionless monotone. "Original personality unstable and unsuitable for apprehending target #1a. Stun gun and neuralizer ineffective. Recommend physical intervention."
"Oh dear," said Kasumi, as both fathers stepped forwards with blank looks upon their faces. "Mental sequestration implants as well. Tsk tsk, that's not very nice at all. Hold still, please; this will take just a moment."
Kasumi stepped back from the advancing fathers and reached into her apron pocket, pulling out a technological gadget, not unlike the neuralizer. She pushed a button on it and two bolts of blue light shot out, striking the two men in the head and freezing them in place.
Kasumi put the gadget away and smoothed her apron down, businesslike. "Really, Father. Whoever did this to you should know better than to send you out in such a clumsy attempt to attack me. Especially considering that I am..."
