When asked about Kasumi, most people in her immediate neighborhood would usually characterize her as calm, levelheaded, friendly and charming. Some might even add charmingly oblivious to anything outside of her usual habits. What most people did not realize was that this was an expertly acted out charade intended to fool those closest to her. What even her own sister Nabiki did not realize was that Kasumi was a very shrew businesswoman in her own right and had parlayed a small initial investment through a high-school friend into a position on the Board of Slaves Unlimited (this friend was actually the daughter of the boss of the operations on Earth). The reason why Kasumi did not simply move to the homeworld of Slaves Unlimited was two-fold. First, she did care about her family and did want to take care of them (after all, if she didn't, they were clearly unable to care for themselves). Second, she honestly liked Nerima, even after the chaos that followed Ranma hit town.
So it was with some surprise to her that someone tried to use Soun and Genma as acquisition agents to 'acquire' her. However, she also realized that, as dimwitted as the two were the attempt to acquire her was probably due to her excellent charade. Just to be sure, though, she...
