"Thank you for this information. I was hoping they would know when to quit but it seems they think they can still control my son's life." Nodoka was shaking her in disgust.
"But Mom, with all that Genma did on the training trip the authorities still could take you away from me." Ranma reminded his mother.
"First off Ranma I must apologize to you."
"But why?"
"For acting like I did when I terrorized you with the Seppuku contract. I truly did not want a second Happosai around. I acted like that to let other people think I was an insane pschobitch with weird ideas of honor and manliness." Nodoka started to explain.
"When I learned of your curses plus a little of the training trip I did what Nabiki did. I investigated the trip you and Genma did."
Looking at the surprised faces she laughed.
"What? You thought Nabiki was the only one able to launch an investigation? Nabiki thinks so to doesn't she? It amazes me on how similar the younger two Tendo girls are." Nodoka mused to herself.
"What do you mean Mom?" Ranma curiously asked. The two visitors wondered as well.
"In the martial arts Akane is good at offensive attacks and quite frankly is terrible at the defensive aspects of the art. Well the same could apply to Nabiki as well. Good at causing damage to others and spreading rumors of others but when dealing with an attack or counter to her manipulations well the same thing could be said of her. You could drive a bus through the holes in their defenses." Nodoka explains.
"After hearing about Jusenkyo I decided to launch my own little investigation on the training trip and what I found out was so sickening to me. Well to make a long story short I went to see a friend of mine in the government who has a lot of power and a lot of connections plus my side of the family who has quite the connections in the top workings of the government. I explained and showed them all the things Genma did to you."
Taking a pause to catch her breath Nodoka Saotome continued.
"After showing what Genma did on the training trip I asked my friend and family to quietly arrange a few matters for me. Not only that but to keep those matters they arranged for me secret." Nodoka finished.
"And what might those matters be Nodoka?" Cologne asked for all of them.
"Matter one: a divorce from Genma and all agreements made by him null and void including the Tendo agreement. Two: receiving sole custody of Ranma Saotome. And three: Taking my maiden name and having Ranma registered in my clan." Nodoka listed the matters one by one.
"And noone knows of what you did Nodoka?" Cologne asked with a sad smile on her face. Nodoka just nods her head. "One question though, what is your maiden name?"
Both Mousse and Ranma wait with eager looks on their faces for the answer.
