"I think it's time we resumed our search for our sisters, Master," spoke Mercury, as she donned a robe. The other Genies, like their Master, were still naked as they lounged in bed. "We need to scour Kyoto for the location of Moon's ring. I can sense the presence of a ring within this city, but I know not where it is." She turned to look at Mars. "How did you know Moon would be here, Mars?"
"You have a bad habit of getting in the way of my fun, Mercury," remarked Mars. She had been trying to get Ranma's attention, but he was preoccupied with Saturn. The Dark Genie of Fire pouted in irritation. "Anyways, the reason I know the twit's here in Kyoto is because this is where the other Dark Genies last saw Moon's ring-bearer."
"Moon already has a partner?" asked Mercury in surprise.
"Yes. That stupid bitch, Beryl, got greedy. I don't see how Wiseman and the other Dark Genies can stand to pretend to be under her rule," muttered Mars. "It had been perfect. These three rings were all in one place, with no guardians; they were asking to be taken. There were these three little girls, still in grief over the death of their mother; they were perfect as hosts. And that avaricious idiot screwed it all up. If I'd been there, I would have burned her to ashes and scattered her essence to the four corners of the world."
"Be thankful that it is she that leads the other Dark Genies for now; it means the others are not ready yet with their plans. Retaking our sisters from them will not be as difficult as it could be if a more competent Dark Genie led them."
"I know that, Mercury," replied Mars haughtily. "Master did take me for his own from Wiseman. Didn't you, Master?" The older woman pressed herself against the teen-age boy. Her whisper in his ear finally got his attention. Saturn glared at the older woman.
"Huh? What is it, Mars?" spoke Ranma. Mars sighed and turned her attention back to Mercury. The Genie of Ice had situated herself by the curtained window that she had thrown wide open. She looked out over the city, while sunlight outlined her now lingerie-clad form. A lab coat hung from her shoulders, fluttering in the breeze that would enter through the window. It could not hide the white teddy she wore nor the stockings covering her legs. Now Saturn glared at the other older woman. Mars merely smirked and raised an eyebrow.
"Anyways, Beryl, Nine, and Nehelenia moved in to take those girls as their hosts. Foolish she may be, she is competent in gaining control over others. She was first to corrupt her Host. And while the other two were still asserting their dominance over their new Hosts, she had her host bond with all three of the Genies. She failed."
Mars then laughed before continuing with her story. "So now, Nehelenia is without a host, Beryl is the only one with Senshi Genies under her control, and some little girl had run off with Moon's ring. What a debacle that was." She laughed once more. Then her tone turned serious. "But, if Wiseman had been able to locate my ring, the other Dark Genies have probably acquired their own Senshi Genie as well."
"That's just fine by me," spoke up Saturn. "We'll just take our sisters from them." Her eyes glittered in anticipation. Ranma nodded, sharing the same sentiment.
"Indeed," Mercury agreed. "And it's time we go." She reluctantly altered her clothing to a more conservative attire, if she was to accompany her Master as they searched the city. She did make a note to try it on again later, as she had noticed her Master's gaze linger upon her body. "Master's new body looks old enough to be out of middle school, so he shouldn't have as much trouble with the authorities for wandering in the streets. And I shall accompany him, as his guardian, to dissuade further inquiries."
"What? Well, I'm going, too!" added in Saturn. "I've always been by the Master's side, and I'm not leaving it!" The younger Genie dared Mercury to contradict her.
Ranma spoke up, "If you want to, Saturn, you can." He hugged the girl closer, trying to reassure her that he wasn't going to leave her. He looked up to Mercury. "She can, can't she?" It was more of a question for agreement than a question for permission.
"I, for one," interrupted Mars, "don't want to wander in the streets during the day. There's just no fun in it. Talk to me when it's dark out." With that said, she disappeared into her ring.
"Very well," stated Mercury. Turning towards Saturn, she said, "You and I will accompany the Master in his search. I'll pose as a guardian for you two. If we run into the other Dark Genies, you and I will back the Master while he wields Mars's powers to exorcise them from their Host. Is this agreeable?"
"It is," replied Saturn.
