Ranma smiled sweetly at her friend. "I know what you're saying Akane, but the male Ranma you knew doesn't exist any more. Please accept that this is who I am now and that I'm finally happy and at peace."
After the "any more." - Akane had stopped listening. "YOU PERVERT! There isn't anything of Ranma left in you, is there?!"
Ranma dodged, rapidly apologizing as Akane started doing her level best to beat a "sweet and innocent" young girl into a bloody pulp.
They came to the koi pond, Ranma stumbled back.
Setsuna watched as the divergence occurred. Instead of the billion-to-one shot that another blow to the head would restore his old personality, Ranma turned and fled ahead of the raging Akane. She cleared the wall like a gazelle and headed off into the night, leaving a few tears trailing the air behind her.
Akane frowned at the wall for a few minutes, then went back to bed. "Stupid jerk."
Setsuna quickly located the girl-Ranma, crying herself to sleep on a rooftop.
She had lost everything in one heated moment. Her home. Her friends. Her identity. Akane had tried to kill her.
Setsuna Meiou winced at the picture of misery, made more so by the rain beginning to fall. Sometimes the whole guardian of the timestream routine really didn't sit well with her.
The thing was, what could she actually do. She was Sailor Pluto. Guardian of the Gate Of Time. She had to respect the sanctity of Crystal Tokyo above all else...
Looking at a girl crying on a rooftop because of something she had done, Setsuna Meiou tried to convince herself she'd done the right thing.
