The spell might have gone off badly, but as it would actually cause more problems if it went off right - especially as far as two fathers were concerned.

So as they forcefed the sleeping Ranma the potion, it began working in the proper manner.

However, instead of Akane and Ranma making out like rabbits, the result was:

• Ranma is now broadcasting a Beacon of True Love. Women/girls/etc take one look and "that's all it took."
• Out there, somewhere, the perfect soulmate for Ranma suddenly knows where he is and that he's perfect for her.
• as #1 but more ecchi.
• as #2 but now a lot of girls suddenly realize-
• Due to Ranma being Ranma-chan at the moment, one of the above but gender reversed.
• something else
