Setsuna screamed. Everything was coming apart. She could feel her body and soul fragmenting, the pieces being sucked into oblivion. There was a blinding white then Nothing...
Setsuna woke up in her bed in a cold sweat and with a killer migraine. It took her a few minutes to calm down and shake off the visions of the End of Times. After she took some medicine, she realized that she wasn't in the appartment she shared with Haruka, Michiru and Hotaru. Instead, she was in what appeared to be a nice high-tech cabin in a... Starship!?!
She stared at the stars beyond the window of 'her' cabin. She could spot planets and a nebula in the far background. Obviously, she wasn't in Tokyo or on Earth anymore...
As time passed, new memories came to her. Apparently, the paradox storm had passed and the Universe had been remade in the Aftermath. She and the others weren't sailor senshi anymore, it would seem. She could already feel her identity as Sailor Pluto fade away as if her old life had only been a dream.
In this life, the senshi weren't magical heroines fighting for Love and Justice but... Space pirates! Their story started out similarly though.
The Kingdom of Selenia had ruled for a thousand of years on its star system. It hadn't been the richest or most advanced kingdom in the galaxy but it had been prosperous enough. The old political regime had been a matriarchy under the rule of Queen Serenity the XXIVth. When the Queen had started reforms to allow the common people more say in the running of the kingdom, some noble families didn't take it well.
Civil war broke out. The heir to the throne, princess Serenity the XXVth, escaped with a few trusted servants aboard the latest warship prototype. In forced exile from their homeworld, they turned to piracy to make a living and strike out at their enemies, those who supported them and those who had done nothing to help them.
An all-girls space pirate band with a state-of-the-art starship. Setsuna found this setting to be similar to some kind of weird fusion of Sol Bianca, Outlaw Star and Vandread.
Princess Serenity was now known as Usagi, the 'Killer Rabbit'. She was the captain of the 'Silver Moon' and leader of their little pirate band.
Ami was the main navigator, sensor expert, field scientist and computer expert of the ship. In this life, she was an artificially created being modified to be able to interface directly with the Silver Moon's systems. She was also cold and unemotional, a literal living computer.
Rei was the group's resident telepath, being the princess' former truthsayer. Her psychic skills were telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis and a bit of precognition.
Makoto was a combat android who had been built and designed as Usagi's bodyguard. Her built-in weapons, martial arts training and superior physical capabilities served her well in that regard. She never left Usagi's side, no matter what.
Minako was the ship's pilot. She was prone to daredevil stunts and other hotshot excentricities but was probably the best person for the job. She doubled as shuttle pilot when they had to go down a planet without taking the whole ship down.
Hotaru was the nurse she wanted to be in her old life in this reality. Their adventures had forced her into the role of a full doctor however.
Haruka was an elite soldier of the Selenia Royal Guard who had followed her princess. The tough tomboyish blonde was their weapons officer, 'heavy ordnance' specialist, security chief and all-around fighting expert. She was usually the first to go during boarding actions.
Michiru was a noblewoman who had followed Usagi into exile. Her family having been killed by the rebels, she had nothing back home. She took care of the little things like supplies and logistics. She was also a fair swordfighter and a good 'face' to deal with merchants and black marketeers.
Lastly, Setsuna learned that she was the Silver Moon's chief engineer. The ship was 'her baby' as she had designed it herself. She was also the only person who could repair the ship most of the time.
Only one question remained... What about Ranma?
Setsuna felt another headache coming. Even after the paradow storm, Ranma Saotome's fate was still tied with the former senshi's. And it seemed that some if not all crewmembers found him highly attractive.
Ranma had come out changed too. No longer only a martial artist, he was...
