Just as she was starting to focus, she heard a quiet and focused voice saying "Is Miss Black alright, John?" The lady in question sounded so familiar and yet strange.
She was seeing clearer now, and was being placed back in bed with nearly-absurd gentility and ease by a giant Amerind with a Pigtail and a annoyed look in his blackeyed face. "Yeah, she's fine, Mary, just the shock, you know it'd hit her hardest of all, after all. Look, I know it's fitting in, but.."
"*sigh* I know, all right? Really, we girls wish she hadn't started this, or left it lie when it started to get different. I.. I liked it, it was a way out of that mess without you. But now it's *over*, and we may or may not have what we had before, but bad as this world can be, it's got potential, and I'm not about to see ANOTHER one shredded at the seams. Sorry, John Wild Horse, but this is Home now."
As Setsuna gasped, she recalled her life. Both of her life, actually, as she had perfectly natural memories of Susan Black, a Californian by birthb and upbringing, who was with a few others when.. Oh God, when things went strange and nothing moved at the right or even the same pace, then.. "Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!"
The pigtailed man, and from the look of resigned anger, it just *had* to be Ranma in there, just looked at her. "Just now recalled, did we? You'll be glad to know that the whole Senshi crew is here, Inners, Outers, even your planned spore and the token King. We ALL wound up in permanent possession of the bodies, lives, and memories of a suitably ironic person here, though. As if killing a village to save it wasn't bad enough, that planned future garbage of yours cost a WORLD and all our hosts their lives! Happy now? Well.. I have to take my part of the blame, I suppose. I mean, I didn't do anything but be myself, but that's all it takes."
Setsuna opened her mouth, about to quaver out Ranma's name, but the woman, probably Mercury from her professional air and doctor's garb, beat her to it. "Don't bother, Susan! Even if we discover we have our powers, there's no destiny, no Silver or Crystal anything, and no Sailor Senshi here. We're gonna stay friends, but we are *through* with that gig, got it? Now, I'm going to go sort out how I feel about losing my Mom and my world, while you get a clue." She stormed off, the light catching off her badge as Doctor Mary Jensen.
Ranma.. John, rather.. fidgeted a bit. "They really are staying friends, and I guess I am too. They mentioned how you lost your Silver Millenium, and did this juggling act because you were trying to get past your pain at not having stopped it beforehand. But they're hurting, hurting bad. I didn't have thebest life before, but it's hard, losing the chance to master the family Art, losing.. everyone. What I'm saying is, we know, alright? And it's clear overdoing it's as bad as NOT doing it, so just chill. I'm gonna go comfort Bunny, she's taking it hard. You.. just think it over, okay?"
He took off then, leaving Susan, formerly Setsuna Meiou, to blink and remain in light shock as her chronally-unsettled mind finally kicked in more about the world they all were apparently stuck with now..
