Minako stared at the man who had just popped out of the the hole, and who was only head and shoulders out of it. "Where did you come from?"
"Just a little bit down the island. We have an archelogical dig there, but I had gotten some clues that something big was down here, so I decided to take a quick look instead of dragging everyone else."
"A dig? Whose?" asked Rei.
"Why, mine of course. It does mean a long time away from Japan, but it's great to have a chance like this."
"You're from Japan?!" exclaimed Ranma.
Seta's brows went up. "Uh... yeah."
"Man, this is so great! Now we don't have to worry!"
"Hmm? Were you in some kind of trouble?"
"You could say that. We were headin' ta Japan from China when we got off course and now our ship can't sail."
"Sounds like trouble to me," he said. "Hey, why don't you all come with me to the site and we can see what we can do from there?"
"Yeah!"
"I'll take that as a yes," said the archeologist as he pulled himself from the hole.
"Just one thing before we go," put in Michiru.
"Oh, and what's that?"
"We still ned to help Usagi out."
"Please..?" warbled the bunny-girl's voice out of the opening.
Each of them looked chagrined at the oversight and set about giving her assistance. And once they got her back to the ground and safe, they set out for the dig, while:
