In a scrap yard somewhere on the United States west coast, six minicons all shuddered as they watched Jetfire get his ass handed to him. Thrust wasn't even using his missile launchers, instead prefering to duke it out in a brawl that was totally destroying the surrounding buildings.
"I really hope they've managed to evacuate the area," Bonecrusher said quietly. "Some of those buildings may not stay up for much longer."
"Dammit, where's Prime?" Runway growled. "We haven't heard of the Decepticons anywhere else, so why's Jetfire on his own?"
"Outgunned," Jetstorm noted.
"Outclassed," Sonar added.
"We get the point guys!" Wreckage snapped. "Look, the Autobots are probably on their way. For now, we should probably worry about ourselves. Megatron may try to track down the Star Saber while everyones attention is elsewhere, and I'd bet a group of armed minicons would interest him as well. So let's focus on our defenses." He picked up a laser welder and headed for the door.
"That's a little cold," Knockout said.
"We can't help him here," Wreckage replied. "And I'm no fan of just sitting back and watching something like this. I need to do something."
"Can't argue with that," Bonecrusher noted. "No offense, but I'll stay and watch, just in case. I'll tape it for you."

Thundercracker siged as he opened fire on a group of police cars. This really wasn't a challenge. While he was certain that these humans had far greater military capabilities then what looked like regular law enforcement, they were taking quite some time to arrive. "This isn't even a challenge," he muttered.
"Cold blooded murder rarely is," came a reply that echoed down the street. Thundercracker turned to see a new Transformer step into view. Sligtly smaller the the Decepticon, its design seemed to indicate a ground vehicle of some sort. That didn't really matter. What was important was the important was the Autobot symbol on his chest. "My name is Blurr," he continued, "and I have heard of you Thundercracker."
I can't say the same for you Autobot," Thundercracker replied, ignoring the fleeing police officers. "As far as I had heard, only the original Autobots were on this planet."
"We learned that Thrust and several Decepticons under his command had come here," Blurr replied, "so we came to stop you. Have you captured a minicon yet?"
"Only one so far, and it's with Thrust." Thundercracker wondered why why Blurr was so eager to talk, instead of just having shot him in the back.
"Good, then this will be a fair fight, with nothing but our own skills and strength." Blurr raised his pistol. "You have a good reputation Thundercracker. You are a soldier, not a bully, and it's always shown in the way you fight the Autobots. I've always hoped I'd get the chance to face you."
So he wanted a fair fight. Thundercracker could respect that. He reached up and removed his left wing, then moved into a ready stance as it folded out into its sword form. "Well then, let's begin."
Blurr charged forward, twin pistols blazing, while Thundercrackers advance was slower, as his attention was focused on deflecting and avoiding the energy blasts. It soon closed to close combat though, and the Decepticon went on the offensive, his blade seeming to glow from some inner power.
That didn't seem to cause Blurr too many problems though, as he ducked and weaved around the blade, pistols still blazing. Both Transformers got a few blows in, but not enough to do any real damage.

Jetfire groaned as Thrust threw him into yet another skyscraper. Thankfully for his peace of mind it seemed that the area had been evacuated, as he hadn't crushed anybody yet. He pulled himself out of the building and braced himself for another attack.
"You're a fool," Thrust taunted as he approached. "All you Autobots are. I pound you into the ground time and time again, yet you constantly get back up." Faster then Jetfire could seemingly react, the Decepticon punched him in the stomach before grabbing him and slamming him into the ground. "Why don't you just give up already!" he yelled as he wrapped his hands around Jetfire's throat, intent on ripping off the Autobots head.
"Give... up..?" Jetfire wheezed as he twisted slightly. "Now why..." he pulled his rifle out of subspace and aimed it at Thrusts torso. The Decepticon barely had a chance to move as Jetfire finished "would I ever do something as stupid as that?" and fired.
The blast sent Thrust flying, slamming in into a building nearly a block away, his right hip more sparking and cracked. If Jetfire had a mouth, he would have been smirking as he got to his feet. "You forget that just because you're stealing that minicons power, you're not a god. You can be killed." He raised his rifle and opened fire.
Thrust came to his senses in time to dodge the first salvo, then replied with his own launchers. The resulting destruction ripped apart even more of the already suffering street, yet it seemed to miss Jetfire as he flew out of the smoke, taking to the air. With the familar harmonic, Jetfire transformed and what looked like a space shittle on growth hormones blasted off into the night sky. Growling, the Decepticon transformed to his own fighter configuration and followed, intent on shooting the Autobot down.
