Rook smiled.
He tapped his armored fingers together and smiled as a plan for revenege began to take form.
He'd have to be very careful. Very careful indeed. Or else someone would learn who was behind the situation.
Brianna Diggers and Sheila had taken up residence outside an old dwarven mine-city and were apparently cleaning it out to serve as a residence. They had help, of course, from a small contigent of rock gnomes, mountain dwarves and deep elves.
Meanwhile Julia Diggers had returned to her compound, not too far away in fact, with her students and some new charges. Charges that were causing quite a stir, in fact.
Considering the werecats that were at the compound, the Edge Guard was less than concerned. Even most of populace had turned a blind eye to it. Or, rather, an uncaring eye. Little was known about wererats, too little for anybody to make a fuss about four of them being watched by The Armsmaster Julia Diggers.
But some people were concerned. People with money. People with some reason not to appreciate the Armsmaster. People that already feared her connection with the Jade ninja clans. People like thieves guildmasters, pirate kings and bandit lords that feared they might one day find a second smile and never wake again. Even a merchant here and there. People that only needed a bump to convince them of providing this werelion and those cats that were with him some support.
"Send for Hanza," Rook said. "I have a task for her."

Sheriff frowned and leaned back in her chair, silently conferring with Judge, Swashbuckler, Ninja and a host of other personalities.
It was hard to decide whether Array was one being or many. She argued with herself, sometimes fought herself. And she was rarely of one mind about anything (other than Tirant, which certain parts of her were starting to question, actually).
However, one thing was certain about her sixty, seventy or so personalities:
Jade was home.
She had put a lot of effort into securing her position WITHIN the system. And she had a lot invested in the continued security of that system.
Protecting Jade was now in her vested interest, and something she did very well as long as she wasn't pulled into some con or another by Tirant.
So, she took upon herself to investigate the rats further and see just how much of a threat to her home they were.
