Standing up, Akane made her way towards the entrance of the Shundosai. Gar, who was sparring with Luan, stopped a moment, pulling away from the combat are and moved towards Akane until he was only a foot away from here. "Where are you going?"
"The kitchen." Akane said.
Gar shook his head. "Nope, I'm afraid I can't allow that."
Akane glared at the werejaguar, feeling miffed that he didn't even flinch from her glare. "And why not?"
Looking seriously at Akane, Gar said, "It's dangerous for the baby."
"How! I promised Julia I wouldn't eat anything!" Akane said.
Gar shook his head. "Not that." Sighing he asked, "Do you know any of the rules for Lycanthrope pregnancy?"
Akane stared at Gar. "Of course I do! Baka! How different could it be from a human's!?"
Gar shook his head. "There's obviously a lot you don't know."
Akane glared hard. "Like what?"
Gar sighed. "First off, you can't switch forms while your pregnant. Well, werecat and werewolf couldn't. A wererat can since human form and hybrid form are practically same size physically. But you'd have to stay out of rat form."
"Whys that?" Akane asked. It's not like she'd want to take her animal form. But she was curious as to why she couldn't.
"The baby doesn't change with the body." Gar said. "You change to rat form, and that baby, or babies in your case, will rip through your ueterus like a cannon, killing you and the unborn children."
Akane's face paled. "Okay... I'll keep that in mind."
"And there's more." Gar said sternly. "While in Earth Realm, don't sleep in a room with flourescent lights. The flourescent lights act like a moon to weres and will make you shift forms, leading to the first problem I mentioned."
Thinking, Gar also said, "And Akane, even though this may be hard, don't try eating any snacks after dark."
Akane blinked. "Hey! Are you calling me fat? I DO NOT SNACK!"
Gar shook his head. "No, listen Akane, if a pregnant were east after dark, it turns on the 'blood lust' enhancement that is in every were. You'll be sent into an eight-hour rage that will send you on a killing spree."
Smirking, Carla moved over to Luan and whispered, "Doesn't seem liek it would be much of a difference from her normal self." Luan just giggled and nodded her head to that.
Her jaw flapping, Akane gawked at Gar. After a few moments, she gained enough of her wits to ask, "KILLING SPREE!?"
"Yep." Gar answered. "Just another one of the little 'quirks' that are part of us weres." He explained.
Akane nodded her head. "Anything else?"
"Yes." Gar answered. "You'll want to stay away from all forms of magic while pregnant, with the exception of other werefolk. Even reading a spell from a book can interfere with a baby's development and have quite severe side-effects."
Akane nodded her head. After a moment, a thought hit her. "Hey! How does this tie into not letting me cook!?"
Gar looked Akane directly in the eyes and answered truthfully. "If what you work on in the kitchen isn't alchemy, I don't know what is!"

A the distance from the Shundosai, one could hear a cry of, "JAGA NO BAKA!!!" and see a Jagwere go flying into the air.
