"Hey, Nanami?" Ranma asked, waving his hand in front of her face. Getting no visible response, he gave up on it, and decided to take another approach. His face neared hers, closing the distance between them to nearly nothing. His breath hit her cheek, dispersing upon prolonged contact with the cool air in the basement. He had wanted to do this ever since the first time he saw her. And now... now, if she wasn't playing games with him....

Ranma reached out and grabbed a fistful of Nanami's hair, tugging on it. Nothing happened, and he almost squealed in childish glee.

Pulling on the hair in several directions absent-mindedly, Ranma pondered his situation. Perhaps Nanami had really become frozen in time? If that was true, then maybe she wouldn't mind--

As Ranma leant forward to kiss Nanami, lightning struck the school, parting the building, until it hit Ranma's invention. Charging up with abundant energy, the device hummed and...
