Ryoga had come by with a few youthening mushrooms. Due to a stomachache caused by some cookies from Kodachi (or had it been Shampoo's ramen that Mousse had added a few things to, or Akane's attempt at creole cooking, or... whatever - he had had the sort of problems that meant that he had been spending an inordinate amount of time utilizing the toilet and feeling six different kinds of hurt) - Ranma had never eaten a mushroom during the entire misadventure.
Quite a few people had gotten involved, perhaps to make up for Ranma's absence.
Tatewaki Kuno was now thirty one years old. Weeping a lot about it too.
Akane, Kodachi, Shampoo, and Ukyo were now six years old. They weren't too happy about it. Especially as Mousse had tried to forcefeed mushrooms to various girls in order to get Shampoo back to normal. The problem being that his glasses had not been in place and he kept getting the wrong girls and the wrong mushrooms.
Nabiki was two years old, and if there were any individual more unhappy with these events than the four elementary school girls or Tatewaki - it was Nabiki. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot she could do about it other than glare at Mousse.
Kasumi was twelve. Other than getting a stepladder out so she could reach the stove, her life was the least changed.
Ranma was still sixteen. Ryoga had returned to sixteen.
Soun was almost as unhappy as Nabiki. By the time Kasumi got to sixteen, Ranma would be twenty. Considering how much had happened just in the past year, hoping that things remained stable that long was probably like hoping that he'd come into a big inheritance from some relative he'd never heard of.
Ryoga was not too happy about the reception he received when in human form at the Tendo residence. He blamed Ranma for it. That Ranma hadn't been able to keep anything down much less participate in the events had little to do with it. Ryoga simply couldn't face the angry little girls and accept the blame for this one. Uh uh.
Of course, as time went on, those affected by the mushrooms found attitudes and priorities shifting. Brain architecture at age six is less complicated than at age sixteen. Hormones are different and cultural standards of behavior are very different. Perhaps one of the few good things coming out of it was that four rivals were changing into four friends.
