The Space Bridge powered up again, a Transformer fading into view within the machine. A moment later, Thundercracker stepped out, looking around the room. The first thing he noticed was Megatron, the massive Decepticon standing in the doorway, arms crossed. Instantly, the Seeker was on his knees, kneeling to his Emperor. "Lord Megatron, you honor me with your presense."
"Stand up Thundercracker," Megatron ordered. "I want to see your face when you answer my questions." Thundercracker complied, and the Decepticon looked him in the eyes. "Tell me, did you know that you and Thrust went to Earth on an unauthorised mission?"
"I suspected it was such," he replied calmly. "However, Thrust is my superior, and as such I am expected to obey him."
"Not anymore," Megatron growled. "Thrust has been punished for his actions. Now, the question remains, what am I to do with you?"
"Whatever you choose to do with me," Thundercracker replied. "You are the Decepticon Supreme Commander, and your will is law." He detached his left wing, and handed its extended sword form to Megatron.
Megatron examined the sword briefly, then looked back at its owner. "Thrust returned to Cybertron some time ago. What took you so long."
"Blurr wasn't so willing to let me retreat," he explained. "I had to get an opening, then transform and get some distance before I could return to Cybertron."
"I see." Megatron was silent for a moment, then gave his judgement. "Your energon supply will be docked by half for the next month. You also had some leave coming up. Consider it canceled." Thundercracker simply nodded. "You're taking this rather well," Megatron noted.
"I was on Earth without your permission," he replied. "Any punishment you believe I deserve, I will take."
"You're a fine soldier," Megatron said with all honesty. "In fact, you may well be perfect for a mission I have planned. How much command experience do you have?"
