"Thank you Sideways for keeping the humans out of it," a green haired woman said, as she came out of the train station.
Sideways looked down at the woman and shook his head, "It's hard to believe Setsuna that you are a minicon."
Setsuna sighed, "So are the other Senshi, although they don't know it yet. I should have beleived him that the time gate wouldn't protect us."
"Who?"
"The one who altered me and the other Senshi. He also did that job on Skylancer or well.... You'll find out later. I need to report in. Keep an eye on the Decpeticons and a low profile."
Setsuna walked back into the train station and opened a hidden door, revealing a small room. Entering the room, Setsuna felt it shudder as it descended. The doors to the hidden elevator opened showing a corridor. On each side of the corridor was written a name. On the left was the name 'Axalon' on the right, 'Darkside'. Setsuna straightened up and changed into her mini-con form. She transformed into a small racecar and sped down the hallway. She transformed back into robot mode and entered a lab.
"You were right about the time gate," Setsuna said.
A bulky form looked up from where it was working and said in a strange buzzing voice, "Cyberton too far away to be affected by time gate. Nebulos too. Time waves rewrote both Cybertron and Nebulos into one planet. Targetmaster, Headmaster, and Powermaster technology turned into Mini-con technology."
"You've told me that before," Setsuna replied. "But..."
Pulling up a strange globe surrounded by a ring, the bulky figure interrupted, "Smart. Copied the real one before time wave removed it. Fragment protected me. Fragment of fragment used to keep Senhsi Mini-cons around."
Setsuna growled, "But the Silver Crystal turned Princess Serenity into a mini-con with the same power-link that we have."
"Queen Serenity made mistake. Senshi must know truth soon, that future is gone and that real past is here."
"What about the other mini-cons that you turned into costumes? What will happen to them?"
"Don't know. Learned world's magic to save mini-cons' lives and keep from boredom. If human put on willingly like Skylancer and compatible personality, will merge. Better that way than spark go off-line."
Setsuna looked at the being who she was talking to. "How many other hidden mini-cons like the Senshi are there?"
"Not telling. Tell Senshi truth about Mini-cons. Rest later."
Setsuna nodded and changed back into her vehicle mode and sped back the way she came. The figure stared at the globe he was holding.
"Fragment of Matrix protect Waspinator. Now, Waspinator must protect Min-cons."
Authors note:I have no idea if anyone ever followed up on what happened to Waspinator. The last I knew he was left behind on Earth, completely unsupervised as the Maximals took Megatron back to Cybertron.
