"Those robots are goig to tear apart this world," Umi said.
Hikaru said, "If only we had the Mashins, we could do something."
"We can't go back to Cephied," Fuu replied.
The three of them stared out over the landscape with sad looks in their faces. A strange man came out of the elevator and looked at them.
"Magic Knights, I'm here to ask your help in repelling the Decepticons from Earth."
Fuu asked, "How did you know we were Magic Knights?"
"I didn't. The one who wants to talk to you did."
"What can we do?" Hikaru asked.
The stranger replied, "I don't know."
The three girls huddled together.
Hikaru said, "I have the feeling that he's sincere about this and doesn't mean to harm us."
The other two girls nodded.
"I guess we kept some of our abilties from Cephied in this world."
The girls stood up and nodded to the man.
"Follow me."
The quartet walked into the elevator and rode down to street level. As soon as they left the elevator, the man motioned for them to follow him. The trio of girls shrugged and did so. They soon arrived at an abandoned train station.
The man said, "This is the first time I'm going to meet in person the true leader of Earth's Defense Force."
The girls looked at each other a bit worried and hesitanly followed the man into the station. The man found a secre door and opened it to reveal a hidden elevator. The four rode the elvator down to the bottom level and walked out into a tunnel.
"Axalon and Darkside?" Umi asked. "What does that mean?"
"I have no idea. By the way, call me Sideways."
Sideways led the Magic Knights down the hallway into a large room. The three girls took an invoulintary step back as they saw a humanoid bug standing before them.
"Calm. Waspinator not hurt you," Waspinator said. "Waspinator needs your help to fight Decepticons."
Hikaru took a deep breath and walked towards Waspinator. "How can we fight giant robots?"
Waspinator pointed behind him to the three robots he was working on. "With them. On reports, there are human sized robots, called mini-cons, that can join with larger robots to boost powers. Can give you the ability to change into mini-cons. Those will be your partners. The Defendions are here to defend Earth. Autobots have hands full with Decepticons as is."
Sideways' head rocked back a bit. "Pardon me. Are you saying you can change humans into mini-cons? That's not possible."
Waspinator shook his head. "Transformation can go both ways. Waspinator have lots of time to study. They had power, but lost it."
"Yeah, because we are not on Cephied anymore," Umi added.
Hikaru closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "If this allows us to defend our home, count me in."
Umi and Fuu nodded.
Waspinator pointed at the three inert robots. "Hikaru stand in front of red Defendion. Umi stand in..."
Umi interuppted, "I think we know how this is going to go."
Umi and Fuu took their places by the robots closest in color to their element. Waspinator nodded and picked up his Matrix.
"Waspinator says Matrix activate and bring forth the new defenders of this planet."
The Matrix shot forth a golden light that engulphed the three girls and three robots. The girls could feel their bodies hardening as they changed into mini-cons. Behind them, the three jets also started changing. The dark blue jet, became a large dragon. The silver jet became a green eagle, and the red jet became a firey wolf. They quickly changed into their robot modes.
"Defendion Rayearth on-line."
"Defendion Celece on-line."
"Defendion Windham on-line."
The three newly awakend robots knelt down and looked at Waspinator.
Waspinator shrugged, "Magic unpredictble at times. Magic Knights by will should be able to change back to human. Since team, should have a combined form. Vehicle mode should also complement Defendion partner."
Sideways asked, "If you can do that, why haven't you taken over the Earth?"
"Ruling planet boring. Did that at dawn of humanity. Now, Waspinator just guide."
