Across the table from him, Rally leaned foward and protested, "But it wasn't our fault!"
"You could have just let them go you know."
"Oh come on. Those two were an easy catch. They were about as much trouble as falling out of bed."
The police detective sighed as he frowned at her. "I know that, but try explaining it to the chief."
May frowned. "What's that got to do with anything?"
"Headquarters is worried that some tourists have gotten the wrong idea and are trying to be something out of the movies," put in Kate from where she stood behind Roy.
"Hold up," said Rally, "Do you mean to say that they think that Ranma was trying to be an action hero?"
"That's about right," acknowledged Roy.
"Was not," sulked Ranma.
"There, there," Nabiki said soothingly in Japanese as she patted his head, "I'm sure that they didn't mean to put you down."
"Those guys weren't half as tough as Kuno," he muttered back in the same language.
"Listen Roy," put in Rally, "Do you really think that I'd let some flake from out of town try to be something out of an action flick?"
"No, but HQ expects me to yell at you. They don't really have anything to hold you on, so I can let you go."
"Thanks Roy."
"Any time. Just stay out of trouble."
"You know me."
"That's what scares me."
"Hah hah," muttered the bounty hunter as she lead her group out of the police station while:
