Putting the book back exactly where he got it he snuck around to the front and pering around the corner he saw a woman taking a stack of books off the cart and headinginto the back of the building. Acting quickly he grabbed his pack and hurried to the door.
Unlocked.
Smiling at this bit of small luck he opened the door and crept outside. He had some thinking to do after all.
Outside the air was chill and damp, the streets nearly deserted except for those dedicated salarymen. Ranma found himself relieved that there weren't many people out yet, course the fact that it was Sunday probably had something to do with it. After a black he found a place where he could sit down and have some breakfast. It didn't smell anything like Kasumi's cooking but it was cheep and he ordered enough to make up for the fact that he hadn't eaten for most of yesterday. Though he'd fhave to stretch his money a little bit.
As far as he could see he had two choices:
1. Leave and let the whole damn mess sort itself out.
2. Face the fian....girls and get back at em.
Looking at the situation like a fight he saw immediately that if he just left then in all likelihood the girls, or Cologne, or Soun and Genma would track him down and bring him back whether he liked it or not. Or if not that then thy would tell the girls and whatever new life he managed to create before that would go into the crapper.
Unless he could tell everyone except the girls about the girls conduct. With evidence he could convince Cologne and Nabiki did have that video camera. But Soun and Genma would be tougher since they were set to unite the families no matter what the cost so they were more likely to turn him into a girl to unite the families. Though Nodoka would be pissed.
Ranma choked on a mouthful of rice, attracting the attention of a couple of other customers but when he managed to get it down by pounding on his chest he sighed and laid the chopstix down for a moment.
Mom wouldn't like these events either, one way or another she would see it as unmanly. And he sure as hell didn't want to end up with her sword at his throat.
"Excuse me."
Ranma looked up from his half eaten meal and saw:
