The young martial artist's reactions were mixed. On the one hand, he was unaware of anybody ever documenting the Anything-Goes style, let alone doing it "officially". What did officially mean in this context, anyhow? Approved by Happosai? Who knows what THAT could entail....
On the other hand, he was somewhat curious to learn anything else he can about the martial art that he practiced. Sure, he'd learned it from his father, who had trained under Master Happosai many years ago, but who had taught the old freak in the first place? Maybe there were other schools of Anything-Goes that his pop had never heard of, with new techniques to learn and to be exploited.
On the other other hand, maybe there was something about him in there. That'd be neat. Or maybe there'd be special techniques mentioned that he could learn about - that was always worthwhile.
On the other, other, OTHER hand, reading was pretty darn boring.
