The Fate of Books: How to Jujitsu Magic [Episode 62037]

by Sainin

Ranma took the history text book to the one place where he usually wasn't disturbed, the Tendo rooftop. Now, where to start in such a thick book? Open at random? Browse? Or try not to waste time, and look for something that could really interest him? For once, he turned an index in the back. There he randomly browsed...

It turned out the term "History", here, was so complete it included strategies, tactics, and techniques that had been used by the "Anything-Goes School".

He stopped when he came to the heading Magic. His mood soured. He didn't want to use magic, he wanted to - subheading: Jujitsu. "What does that mean? I can throw someone without touching them?" Yes, that was one of the sub-subheadings ...but there was also: Throwing a spell off.

Ranma dared hope.

He turned to page 261.

"Is dinner going to be ready soon, Kasumi?" Genma asked his hostess.

"It'll be awhile longer, Mr. Saotome. I have to bring Ranma another kettle of hot water."

"The meal will be delayed because my son keeps jumping into the koi pond?"

"He's been at it all day!" Akane pounded the table in barely controlled anger. "He keeps changing back and forth to a girl because he knows it upsets me!"

"Actually, Ranma told me he's developing a secret technique," Kasumi informed her.

"Well, he's not getting it!" Akane cried.

"I agree," Genma said. "That's because he hasn't shared the secret from me, his sensei. I'll help him work on it...after dinner."

"I could hurry dinner along quicker, if someone could deliver the kettle for me," Kasumi suggested.
