And then he felt the press of a pair of breasts into his back as Meia wrapped her arms around him.
"This is pointless," said the Dread leader, who trying not to notice the sensations that this was giving her, "At this point all this talk is academic."
"'Academic'?" parroted Hibiki.
"Yes. None of us are in any shape to jog, never mind... that."
"It was just talk?"
"That's exactly it."
Hibiki looked at the bandaged Jura (who had a bit of a smirk) and Dita (who looked ready to cry) and caved. "Oh, okay. As long as you don't do anything wierd."
'That is something I can't guarantee,' thought Meia.

The mess hall was always a hive of activity whenever meal times were happening. It was a meeting place for friends to gather in a more relaxed atmosphere. But this time the conversations were a bit diferent.
"Can you believe that we have to do that with the men?"
"I don't know, it might be fun.
"Why do I have a flashback to the cottage cheese episode?
"I hear that the men are hiding."
"Hmm?"
"That Van pilot hasn't left his room since he was put in there. The doctor made his suggestion and called for Parfet. That new man's been in the simulators all day. And the navigator's been in the men's room and hasn't come out..."
"I thought that he's under Paiway's care."
"So?"
"Would you come out if you had her taking care of you?"
"Good point."
"There isn't anyway that I'm joining with some man!"
"Good. Leaves more for the rest of us."
"Can't you all see that this is some trick by the men?!"
*Thwip* *WHAM!* *THUD!*
"Good shot!"
"I try."
Celtic just sighed as she turned from the knocked out girl and went back to picking at her food. It had been a rather trying time. She'd nearly been shot by Barnette only to be saved by Hibiki of all people. Even with all that she had done to him, his first instict had been to save her. And he'd gotten shot in the process.
They'd been cheek to cheek for a few moments before she'd even realized what had happened. Her first instinct had been to push him off and yell at his actions. But then memory and the sight of several of the other wounded, plus the man's groans of pain, had stopped that idea cold. So, when he'd been taken away with the rest of the injured, she had been left with her thoughts.
And she had not liked what she had seen. Barnette, a fellow woman, had gone on a mini-rampage, accidently shooting and malleting her crewmates. Hibiki, a man, had saved her without even a second thought, getting hurt in the process. That meant that things weren't what she had thought they were.
That was why she sat, sans bear suit, and tried to eat her food, without much success.

Ranma stepped out of the simulator room and started walking. He still didn't know where he was, but he was sure that he was going to be there for a while. The old pervert would have loved it though. So many girls were around the freak's only problem would be to decide on who to glomp first.
Although the pigtailed boy did have to wonder about all the stares that he was getting. Some of them actually made him feel like a side of beef. And others were downright cold. Most were somewhere in between, but he had no idea why they were looking at him. And what the whispers were about.
But he didn't have time right then to try and figure the girls out. He was supposed to go to:
