"This sucks," Jetfire muttered as he drifted around the Earth. "I hate survey missions! There's absolutely nothing interesting to do."
"Excatly," Prime said over the comm-link from Autobase. "You were supposed to be tracking down the head of the Decepticons Intelligence Division. Instead, you came to Earth."
"I know, I know," Jetfire gumbled. "Still, can't a bot mope a little?" He looked over his scans again, making sure there was nothing wrong with them. "I'm nearly done with this sector. I'll confirm it and transmit the data to you... Hold on a second. I'm detecting an energy signature. It might be a satellite of some kind, it just drifted into this area. It's definately not human."
"Move in and investigate," Prime ordered, watching Jetfires progress.
"Decepticon?" Red Alert wondered out loud. "If they've launched satelites, it would explain how they're tracking minicons so fast."
High above them, Jetfire transformed to robot form as he approached the target. "It's a satellite," he confirmed. "Looks like it was built for survailance. And it's the Decepticons."
"How can you be so sure?" Hot Shot asked.
"Gee, let me think," Jetfire replied. "It might be an blind guess, but the giant Decepticon signal on the side might have something to do with it!"
"Okay, sorry I asked," Hot Shot muttered. "Jeez, what's got him so cranky?"
"Why do they always have to put their logo on everything they own?" Jetfire wondered. "Oh well, not that its important to know."
"Take it out, and then track down any other satelites," Prime ordered. "I want Megatrons survailance capabilities cripplied."
"Roger that. Well, I wouldn't what to be anywhere near Megatron right about now," Jetfire noted with a laugh, "because he is gonna be furious!" Vaporising the satelite in a single shot, he transformed and flew towards the next sector, still laughing as he imagined Megatron's face right about now. He really hoped someone like Starscream was close enough to be the target of the Decepticon Leaders temper.
