[Episode 3585] [Episode 3585]Ssarass was a naga, and nagas had an interesting ability. Their poison was capable of changing the shape of any living thing into something else. They could even change themselves, partially or completely. Now, this alone, while interesting and making for hefty possibilities in the bedroom, is not what made the formation of the army possible. No, that came from another ability.
Namely, that a naga could form an empathic/telepathic bond with someone via both the same poison combined with...ahem...certain practices. And thus did the process of assimilation begin.
Granted the goddess fiancees didn't get assimilated, but most of them took the whole thing as a bad joke anyway. The ones that didn't eagerly joined up as "special advisors."
Miroko and Ssarass and their so far collected force would show up, some girl or girls would randomly comment about being engaged to Ranma Saotome. Then said girl would be "recruited" and discover an abiding love and loyalty for Ranma Saotome first, and the Army second. The Army was really beginning to love the mind-blowing group sex...err...the recruiting.
Anyway, to relieve some of the pressure from Ssarass, other naga recruiters were "recruited." Though, most of them later changed their form back to almost what it was before, with only the exception of a pair of fangs, necessary for the injection of the Naga venom.
Kitty, a cat-girl of no particular skill at fighting before being "recruited" was the recruiter for the furry section of the fiancee army. She still wasn't the best fighter, but the small ten girl quick-strike unit of furries protected her vigorously. She was an enthusiastic recruiter...and sometimes recruited the same girl several times...sometimes several times all at one moment.
Faeryl was the starting point of the recon force of drow girls. There were five members of her unit. not including herself, and two of them had actually been born drow.
Vestele and her eight recruitees were the sniper portion of the Army. And the small collection of elves had a friendly rivalry going on with the drow unit.
Mariko Konjou was the recruiter for the unit of Army morale. All four of her girls were very...eye-catching, and did very well to...encourage...the rest of the Army.
Ami Mizuno recruited for the ten-girl medical team, while her friend, Haruka, was the recruiter and officer of the primary infantry groups. She had three other nagas to help her out, Matoko, Rei, and Minako. Together they had recruited a total of forty girls.
And that left Setsuna Meioh, their prime source of Time manipulation, as recruiter for the special forces, herself and three girls. Mostly mages and other mystics who could fill a vareity of roles from artillery to extraction.

Needless to say, the battle was quickly over despite the fair greater skill each of the original fiancees had over the majority of the Army. This was for various reasons. Also the original fiancees had one major disadvantage.
Her name was Kodachi.
Kodachi's first move had been to snag a really confused Ryouga and send him flying at the special forces unit.
This did distract the special forces unit as they promptly descended on Ryouga, mistaking him for a fiancee with a guy curse.
After a couple of seconds of Setsuna sinking her teeth into his shoulder the "guy curse" was no more and with what went on next, Ryouga was kicking himse...err...herself, for being such a hideous and obsecene person toward her cute and honorable fiance.
While Kodachi was smugly celebrating her aiding the Army in its goals, Akane was subsumed into the furry unit...granted...she was soon humanoid again...and very happy, but she really would have liked to haven gotten a shot in.
Then again, considering her recruiter and Kitty's reputation for enthusiasm, the new dog-girl was probably not thinking anything more than: "Oh dear Kami never stop! OHHHHHHH!!!"
Shampoo and Ukyou were holding their own fairly well until Kodachi decided she needed another missile to scatter those elven archers and tossed Ukyou into what was to become a really good time...she really learned to like life as an elf later.
With her support gone, Shampoo was quickly mobbed and "recruited" herself.
That left just Kodachi, as Kasumi was having a "chat" with Ami, and Nabiki had been quietly introduced to Faeryl. Fortunately, Mariko and her morale unit were all over that...literally.
The fathers were simply ejected. But all in all, that's how Ranma found himself standing, rather dazed, about an hour later in front of 139 girls (including his original fiancees) all in some sort of dress military uniform and "presenting themselves for inspection."
