Decked in his Sherlock Holmes costume, Ranma sailed gracefully through the air as only the Akane Express could. The outfit was the outward expression of a little-known fact about Ranma: he was a total fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes mysteries. Many a time he would skip out on training to read another chapter in the Holmes novels at the local library. He was very careful about it; if he was caught, Pops would have a conniption and take him away from civilization forever and deny him one of the few pleasures he had left.
Not that he ever claimed to be a good sleuth like Holmes, just that he liked the stories.
He reckoned himself to be somewhere in Tokyo as he flew over the skyline. It was very hard for him to tell by sight, because a fog had rolled in and obscured his view. Then he blacked out as he 'arrived'. Hard.
Ranma was slowly regaining consciousness, guided by a voice. "Mr. Holmes! By George, what are you doing here?" came the voice above him.
Ranma blinked and looked around and at the person addressing him.
