Optimus walked up to him and asked, "Are you all right?"
"Yes. I don't know why they let me go, but they did," Jetfire replied. "That was close. I don't want to go back there."
"I don't blame you," Optimus replied.
Hot Shot asked, "What are we going to do about that Mini-con base, Prime?"
Prime looked up and back and Hot Shot. "For now, we'll leave it alone. If the Decepticons target it, we'll help the Mini-cons out."
The three walked back into the Central Command of Autobase and saw that Red Alert was studying the monitor.
"Something wrong, Red?" Jetfire asked.
"I don't know. Starscream just got his can kicked by three Transformers that have Mini-cons."
Jetfire and Blur glanced at each other.
Blur said, "It looks like we weren't the only ones to break orders. Who are they?"
Red Alert slowly said, "I don't know. The only one I've got a name on is Rayearth and he turns into a giant red wolf. It's a group of three robots calling themselves Defendions."
Hot Shot went over to the monitor. "What?! Huh? Who or what are they?"
Red Alert said, "Well whoever they are, they showed up and saved a Mini-con None of them are on file. It gets even better, Rayearth didn't have an energon signature until he changed into his robot mode."
Jetfire slammed his fist into the bare rock wall on one side of the Autobase. "First shot at and now upstaged by an unknown force. I'm not having a good day."
As Jetfire retracted his fist, the indentation he put in the wall cracked to the floor as dust and debri tumbled out. Jetfire looked up in resignation.
"Oh great. I started a cave-in," the Autobot mumbled.
The outpouring of dust stopped and a metal cylinder tumbled out A strange symbol was emblazoned on it.
Jetfire looked down at the strange object and read words that were in Cybertroniesee.
"Axalon Expedition," Jetfire cocked his head, as he looked at the object. "What is this thing? It's from Cybertron, but I have never seen anything like it."
Optimus said, "Red Alert, I want a full scan of that thing. But, do not damage it."

Thundercracker was flying in the skies over Earth. He had left the Decepticon base for a while to let his leader, Megatron, cool down. He was also in a bit of block concerning Skylance, so he decided to scout Earth out hoping to find a Mini-con to give to Megatron and a place to ambush Skylancer.
"What's that? Two energon readings coming from that area over there."
The Seeker jet landed near a dormant volcano and started digging. He came to some hardened lava that had cooled long ago. He started chipping away at the rock. An oval shaped rock broke off and landed at his feet. Thundercracker could sense that the twom energon readings he was hunting for was in the rock.
"Megatron might be pleased with this. I think I found two Mini-cons for him."
He hefted the rock and used the Space Bridge to get back to Cybertron. He headed to where Megatron was brooding. Thundercracker walked forward with the rock.
"Lord Megatron, I was on Earth hunting for a place to ambush Skylancer. While searching, I found this. There are two energon readings coming from this rock. I think I might have found two Mini-cons for you. I thought you would like the honor of seeing them first."
Megatron nodded and motioned for Thundercracker to place the rock before him. "At least this makes up a bit for what those Autobots did to my sattelites."
Megatron craked the rock open and two small robots were revealed. One was a red color and the other grey, a strange aura was surrounding them as the rock broke open. The aura faded away, leaving them free to be inspected. The first thing, Megatron noticed, was the bug like symbol on both of them, instead of the stylised 'M' that the Min-cons used.
"These aren't Mini-cons," Megatron said. "Repair them. I want to ask them some questions."

At and underground base, an alarm sounded and aspinator looked up. The former Predacon activated a magic mirror to see what caused the alarm to go off. The Magic Knights, in Mini-con mode, and Defendions looked on in worry as Waspinator shook his head.
"Not good. Thought all pods were gone and thought those two melted by lava."
Hikaru asked, "Is their anything we can do?"
Umi replied, "I think it's too late, Hikaru."
Waspinator's head snapped up. "Waspinator forgot. As to the pod and those two, nothing can be done. Waspinator needs to take care of something first. Fuu your Mini-con name is Wingstrike. Umi your name is Aquaflow. Hikaru your Mini-con name is Skyfire. Waspinator needs to make one final modifcation to Skyfire.
The robot girl shrugged and approached Waspinator. Waspinator presses a few hidden buttons in a specific sequence. One the last button was pused, Hikaru's chestplate opened up, revealing her inner workings.
Waspinator placed the Matrix inside Skyfire and closed her back up.
Skyfire looked at Waspiantor strangely. "Don't you need this?"
Waspinator shook his head. "Waspinator not need Matrix. Can do all of that stuff anyway without Matrix. Matrix just makes it faster. Skyfire will need the wisdom it offers in future combats. Waspinator also taking precautions to make sure it stays out of Decpeticon hands. It will still be with you, even when you switch back to human."
