"Yeah, first Dad senses some sort of powerful magic off in Japan having to do with a lycanthrope," Brianna said as she packed the trunk of the Gina mobile.
"At about the same time our computers registered a PKE surge of gigantic proportions," Gina said. "It almost had to be a dimensional merger for the readings we got."
"Umm, wouldn't our chronoplatform have pulled us in to stop it then?" Brianna asked. "Or is it still busted?"
"Hell no!" Gina said. "For all we know that time mutt is still out there, of course it's operational! But, that only detects direct threats to us or our friends. So whatever change happened, doesn't directly threaten us."
"But it involves a lycanthrope," Brianna said. "So kinda like somebody rewrote history to make a new lycanthrope. Or brought a lycanthrope from another universe into our world?"
"Right," Gina agreed.
"Seems like a lot of trouble for little result," Brianna said, snorting. "What kind of dunce came up with this stupidity."

Mihoshi sneezed as she was about to grant a wish to Elric, bearer of Stormbringer and Avatar of Chaos. This resulting foul-up ended that particular round of the battle between Chaos and Order quite suddenly.
As both Avatars were destroyed it became the first known draw in the conflict.

"But speaking of new lycanthropes," Gina said. "Should we do some baby-shopping while we're in Japan?"
"Maybe we can send Tanya a peebo, too," Brianna suggested, smiling darkly. "So, how heavily armed are we going?"
"Unknown situation..." Gina said. "...I hate to say it, but..."
"Good," Bri said in a frostily pleased voice, not waiting for Gina's finished answer.
"Yeah, yeah," Gina said. "Just don't forget the tools for the Dreadwing Expedition later."
"No problem," Bri said. "We're all done, let's get on."
"I called Ichi, by the way," Gina said. "The ninja girl from the time mutt deal, she contacted her sister over there so there might be some advance investigation already done."
"What the #%# did you say?"
"Chwa!! My ears hurt!!!"
