On the edge of the Milky Way Galaxy, a massive object was drfting along. Had anyone been within sensor range, they would have learned that it was apparantly a massive starship the size of a planet. Of course, they wouldn't have survived long enough to know the truth.
It's name was Unicron. Some may have thought of it as a massive Transformer, perhaps one of the explorers that left Cybertron before the Great War began, that had grown and changed to incredible degrees. In fact, he had never seen Cybertron in person, and while his form was based off Transformers technology, there was only one real connection between him and the natives of Cybertron. He planned to destroy them.
Once, Unicron had been a God. One of the great destroyers, destined to bring about the End of All. He had destroyed and fed on countless galaxies, broken the spirits of many gods that had tried to stop him, and claimed the souls of trillions of beings. He was unstoppable.
Or so he had thought. A god by the name of Primus had stepped forward to challenge him. He had seemed far weaker then Unicron, and posed no real challenge.
Unicron was soon proven wrong. Their battle had lasted for centuries, ripping apart the very reality around them. Finally though, it seemed that Unicron was indeed stronger, as he began to gain the advantage against his opponent.
Desperate, Primus had fled to the mortal universe, and Unicron had followed, eager for the kill. Too late however, he found that Primus had trapped him inside a massive asteroid. While the same had actually happened to Primus, the two gods were seperated by a gulf of more then four galaxies.
In time, both gods learned to shape their prisons. Primus remade his body into Cybertron, creating the two races collectivly known as Transformers. Unicron had remade his body into a powerful battlestation and began his journey, intent on tracking down Primus and finishing his fight.
Finally, after billions of years, his goal would soon be in sight. There was only one thing to take care of first. Unicron was certain that Primus still had some tricks, and that the Transformers were part of it. He had seen the beginning of the Great War on Cybertron, and he knew that the power the minicons could unlock might prove to be a problem. So, he had made his first major target the world of Earth. With the minicons gone, Cybertron would be crippled, and he would take his revenge and regain the freedom Primus had taken from him.
Many of the servants he had created had already gone on ahead, planning to prepare both worlds for his coming. By the time he arrived, Earth would already be burning, and all the forces on it, Human and Transformer, would stand no chance against him.
All he had to do was wait.
