She'd wanted to take just a moment to escape the looks from some of the civilians on the Promenade, but it wouldn't do to be late on her first day. Taking a deep breath and reminding herself to forget the looks and bear herself with dignity, she stepped forward to report to the her new commander.
She waited outside Commander Sisko's office until.
"Come in," Sisko's voice called out. Ranma nodded and walked crisply into the building.
"Ensign Ranma Garak, reporting for duty sir," Ranma said, nervously.
"At ease," Sisko returned, Ranma stepped into an at ease stance as Ben Sisko looked over the Bajoran-Kardassian hybrid.
