Army of Fiancees: In the wake of eternity. [Episode 3684]

by Thrythlind

"It doesn't matter what the plan is," someone said. Rose turned around and saw more than two-thirds of her resistance smiling victoriously. But they were all men, they couldn't be...

As Rose, Ranma and the remainder were recruited by the disguised nagas, she realized that if the nagas could make a man into a woman. They certainly could make men out of women.

After that, all thought was for Ranma.

Many thousand years later. It was five hundred years after the Great Freedom. Five hundred years since the spell was cast that soccessfully rendered naga venom temporary in effect.

No longer capable of holding a stranglehold on the thoughts of either the woman or their Ranma's, the Army found itself further and further removed from power until they were seemingly shattered. All that was left was a random collection of women.

Why just women? Becayse most fetuses were altered to female in the womb, and by the terms of the spell, what one was born as was one's true form. Unfortunately, the spell simply killed all the unborn children in the world, a fact for which there was much lamentation.

What about the Ranmas? Well, they had mostly been born women, and so, within an hour or two of the spell being cast, they were women again.

Of course, the few survivors looked bleakly on the future of the world. How were a bunch of women supposed to have children?

Strangely enough, the nagas provided the answer. After all, a naga could make a woman male for a periof of a couple of hours now. Which was plenty long enough for the purposes of reproduction. Unfortunately the change no longer reached the DNA levels, so all children were female.

So it was that the Earth slowly recovered from the reign of good intentions gone horribly wrong. Several races developed, some familiar, some not so familiar.

There were the humans, of course, and there were many of them. Beside that there were the drow, the elves, the assorted furries, and the nagas. Among others, like the mari, descendants of the morale units. Mari tended to be...well-rounded and....easy-going.

Nagas were mixed, some were kind and caring, others kept a stranglehold on the others around them, extorting them with the ability to have children.

Marriage existed, but the term fiancee was of course hated with a passion. Actually, very few people remembered it was ever a term for a mate before marriage.

And so, the women of Earth lived as people had lived in the early periods of history. Feudal states, villages, magicians, dragons, foul beasts, and the like.

It was in this world that a young drow widow watched her daughter play outside in the field that they would soon have to harvest. Her wife, a wolf fighter, had recently died in a skirmish with the Kingdom of Sith to the North. Vicky, the drow in question, was still trying to find a way to explain to her daughter that "daddy" wasn't coming back.

Then something caught her attention. Someone was moving toward the house. A moments inspection revealed that the person approaching was male. That was never a good sign in a stranger. People became male for only one reason.

"Aisha," she called, standing up and getting her bow. "Get inside!"

"Huh?" Aisha asked, the wolf-drow child looking back confused, she quickly obeyed, however, and entered the house, watching the approaching individual cautiously.

It was a young adult, about her age. With a red tunic and black beeches, his hair was cut short in the manner of some of the more dedicated fighters, with just a short pigtail in back.

Vicky loosed an arrow.

"Stop right there!" she shouted. "You won't get what you came for here, so just go to a Mari brothel before your potion wears off and leave me alone."

"Trust me, girl," Ranma said looking unimpressed at the arrow at his feet. "I've had enough of that to last an eternity."
