It approached the brown-haired young man with a total lack of noise and the prey had no idea of the bandage wrapped monstrosity that was even now reaching out to wring its rotted hands around his neck.
Jeremiah Heller smirked as the last vestiges of his name echoed down the halls to his ears. He turned his attention back to the hieroglyphics on the walls next to him.
The narrow corridor was illuminated by the torch he gleaned from one of the walls earlier. His other hand was skimming over the symbols he was quickly taking in. He chuckled.
"Naughty high priest." He turned to look at the other side, twisting his torch as he turned about.
The undead horror stalking him was suddenly illuminated and immolated as he turned about. Jeremiah turned toward the new light source and sudden aroma of burning carcass and blinked as the mummy silently screamed.
"Ohhhh shit!" The adventurer kicked outward knocking the mummy over as he ran headlong down the corridor. The mummy meanwhile remained behind as a smoldering pile of ashes.

"He beat the mummy..."
"He almost didn't NOTICE the mummy!"
"Good point..."
