She listened again, the "rabbit ears" of her odango hairstyle twitching slightly. "Too incompetent to be Dark Kingdom, eh?"
Usagi sighed. All because she'd grabbed the ginzuishou again, had worked the magic and purified the world.
Boring, boring, boring.
Her mother was a drone. Her father was a drone. The Senshi weren't much better. If she tried to have a conversation with one of her subjects it was like trying to debate philosophy with an avocado. An exercise in futility.
The Queen of Crystal Tokyo, sometimes known as Princess Usagi, grumped at the shadows. She'd give practically her right arm for someone to call her Chibi-usa or scold at her nowadays.
There had been a lot of debate about using the Ginzuishou to purify the world. There had been some, Ami primarily, who had argued that first you had to define evil.
Well, Chibi-usa had known that being bad was being evil. So she'd gotten the Eternal Silver Millenium Crystal and used it. End of argument.
Sure enough, she hadn't had a single argument since using the damn thing.
That had taken place twenty years ago. She'd grown up around drones.
Usagi got up, her pink hair gleaming in the light, as she strode towards where the Senshi lay in their coffins. Not that they were dead or anything. It was just that she didn't have to deal with what they had become after they'd been purged. The emptiness in their smiles, the deadness behind their eyes.
There they were.
In the original Crystal Tokyo, they'd given up everything to be Usagi's personal harem. Ami Mizuno had never attained her dreams of being a doctor, Rei had never become the head priestess of her shrine, Minako had given up on guys to become one of Usagi's "harem" prior to the fight with Galaxia. Ami and the others had eventually followed suit. Eventually they had given up on all hope of other relationships, and had written off the male gender as a lost cause. Ami and Makoto were with each other when they weren't with Usagi. Eventually they stopped using their personal names and they'd become Mercury, Venus, Mars, and so on. No more civilian identities, they were simply Usagi/Serenity's harem.
In the Crystal Tokyo she'd forged, there wasn't even that much life. Instead of the quiet despair, there was this. A Tokyo bereft of hope.
Or perhaps there was hope, realized the former Chibi-usa. Time travel had been blocked since Pluto had been purged. After being purged, Pluto couldn't be counted on to operate heavy machinery much less the Time Gate. Two humans from before the Purge? Dare she hope?
This was a chance for all the horrors of the past twenty years to be undone. IF she could get these two to assist her.
