"This come off of Cookie Boy Ranma?" Shampoo looked inquiringly at the two facing her. "What you taste like?" And with that, she picked up the largest of the crumbs and popped it in her mouth.
Ranma face-faulted. This was worse than being kissed by that stupid skater. He just froze, locked in a look of horror and shock.
Cologne, for her part, had enough experience with curses and strange things happening, that this action of her great granddaughter's was probably not a good one. "No Shampoo, I don’t think you shou…," but it was too late. The girl's eyes began to gleam and she looked up, turned her gaze to Ranma and said "Oh, that soo tasty! Shampoo too-too hungry. Ranma give more, yes?" She slowly started to advance towards him, like a bobcat stalking a frightened rabbit.
Ranma finally broke out of his trance at the sight of Shampoo stalking him, and began to quickly back away. The amazon just as quickly caught up, and soon a chase was on throughout the restaurant, but Ranma's new form was hindering him, and Shampoo was catching up. While looking behind him to see where she was, he spotted Cologne waving at him. Motioning to him to lead the chase her way, Ranma winked, his icing eye moving from a small circle to a flat line back to a small circle. When they got close, the ancient amazon reached out and with a quick jab, hit a couple of acupuncture spots on Shampoo’s neck and back. Immediately, the girl froze in mid-stride.
Aware he was free of the chase, Ranma triumphantly exclaimed "Hah! Can't catch me!" Then he turned and saw what the old ghoul had actually done. Shampoo was paused, her arms outstretched, one foot one the floor, the other held in mid-air and mouth open in either a grin or in preparation to take a bite. He blinked.
Cologne nodded and smiled. "Now, son-in-law, we can talk without any distractions." She hopped on her staff over to the front door and locked it, saying "Mousse can fly in through an upper window and unlock it himself." Ranma was still staring at Shampoo. "Can you teach me that?" He was imagining the potential world of hurts that could be halted just in the Tendo household if he could apply that to Akane.
"Once you marry my Shampoo, son-in-law, you can learn all the secret techniques of our Amazon village." Smiling mysteriously, Cologne inwardly cheered. Another point for her side. "But now, we must talk. Let me tell you what I know so far of your problem." Ranma spared one last glance for frozen Shampoo, who gave no indication that she was going to follow him, though her gleaming eyes gave hints of what might be to come if she got loose, and went with Cologne into the back of the cafe.
When they were alone and could not be interrupted by psychotic ducks or glandular amazons, Cologne sat down. Ranma wasn't sure if he was that flexible or not, so he remained standing. "Son-in-law, what has happened to you is powerful magic, as I said. I will need help, which is why I have initiated steps to contact my colleague already, but it will take time. Let me tell you though, it is a problem that will only get worse unless confronted. I have watched you since you arrived and during the ruckus with my great-granddaughter, and I see now what must be done. Tell me. Did anyone else have any part of the cookie that is now you?"
Ranma was taken slightly aback, as Cologne looked at him so intently. "Uhhh…Nabiki had a bit. That's all, 'sfar as I know." Cologne nodded. "Good keep it that way, because…"
