Cologne was the first to speak after a few moments that had nearly everyone else run in from the kitchen to see what was going on. "Son-in."
"Do not, and I repeat, do NOT call me your son-in-law!!" Ranma growled/bellowed that had quite a few people jumping as they never heard him talk like that.
"Er, very well Ranma, we had come to rescue you from what ever demons possesed you."
"Rescue me, ha that's a new one. You expect me to believe you came to rescue me? HA! More likely you came to reclaim your damn prize since you treat me as such!"
Akane narrowed her eyes, "We came here because we were worried about you."
Turning his attention to her he laughed a bitter cynacle laugh, "Ha, yeah right Akane, you worry about me, ha! From day one Akane you've done nothing but hold me in contempt. I'll admit that there were some good times, but they were so few and far between that they don't count. You've always called me a pervert, hitting me, cursing me and saying you wished I was dead. And now that something comes along to take me away from you, you suddenly get all worried." Softening his gaze he continued, "I'll be the first to admit that a lot of the problems started because I couldn't keep my mouth shut." In a softer voice, "You know I loved you at one point didn't you? But you returned my love with anger, contempt and jelouscy." Raising his voice back to normal levels, "It wasn't always my fault that I got into those situations, but I still got in them and you never let me explain."
"Is this how you really feel about me?"
Ranma looked at her, shaking his head and sighing, "It's over Akane go home, when I got transformed, something happened to my brain and I saw everything that happened in Nerima as an outsider would see it. I'm sorry, but it won't work out."
Akane's eyes had tears welling up in them, she turned and left the room, she didn't want to have anyone see her like this.
Reactions varied, most of the single girls that weren't fiancees were happy that Ranma got Akane out of his life and nearly everyone was surprised to find out that he loved her at one point in time. The NWC was surprised that he was capable of telling her off.
Only one person wasn't awed by this story. "Ranma-sama you have finally told off that low-born gorilla and now we can consumate our love."
Ranma narrowed his eyes at Kodachi, "Oh yes, we have spoiled little rich kid. Kodachi get out of your fantasy world, I don't love you, hell, I don't even like you. The only reason I saved you that one time is because you would've fallen and broken your neck."
Kodachi didn't seem to hear (not too surprising) and started to walk over to him, she didn't make it as Shampoo clonked her over the head with another bonborii. "Ribbon girl, should listen to airen, no one likes you, you is too too annoying."
"Shampoo, I am not your husband."
"The laws of the Amazons say you are." Cologne retorted.
"WAS I TALKING TO YOU OLD GHOUL!?!?" Ranma bellowed, this had the effect of several natives of Jade jumping and trying to find a place to hide, just in case Ranma had a relapse, they did not want to get in his way if he became a killing machine again. The three rats jumped behind Julia. "Your village laws have no meaning in the outside world, you see yourselves as so superior, but there are many fighters in the world that could take your people on effortlessly. I don't know why you keep trying to force your will on me, I honestly don't, but if you don't stop it, I'm going to get serious." Ranma's eyes flashed for a moment and locked onto Cologne's, there they looked into each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity, but was only a few moments.
Reluctantly Colonge turned away and Ranma turned his attention to Shampoo, "I am not going to marry someone who uses magic, potions and drugs to try and get me to marry them. I will not marry on something based on mistrust. Turning his head from her he continued, "Leave Shampoo and never darken my doorway again."
Shampoo wanted to attack him, him or one of the girls that were in the same room as him. Cologne's voice stopped her, "Shampoo, we are leaving for now, grab Kodachi and let's go." Turning to Ranma, she continued, "Ranma, it was a pleasure teaching you, since you defeated Saffron and saved all the Amazon's lives, we will be there in case you need us."
Ranma blinked, "What are you saying?"
Smirking at him, not a pleasant sight, she answered, "You've done something that no Amazon in history was able to do, defeat the God-King Saffron, we've always had a clause in the marriage laws, 'if someone can prove they can defeat Saffron in actual combat, they will be honorary Amazons.' You are free of the marriage laws, but will always be an ally to us." She then bowed to him and left, a depressed Shampoo followed, dragging Kodachi along with her.
Blinking in shock Ranma muttered, "I never thought they'd ever give up."
Sheila shrugged her shoulders, "Well, that's one less problem to worry about."
"True."
Um, Ranchan?"
Turning his attention to Ukyo, Ranma sighed, this was going to be the hardest one to take care of, not only was she his friend, but also Ranma felt he 'owed' her the most. 'She lost ten years of her life in search of vengence, and her life was almost as hard as mine.' He thought in anger, Ukyo's father was as bad as Genma on many levels. "Ukyo, I just can't love you, I've never seen you as anything more than a sister."
Ukyo looked at Ranma, narrowed her eyes and walked right up to him and slapped him right across the face. Turning around she stormed out of the room, but not before saying one last comment, "I loved you, I've always loved you, don't come looking for me ever. And before you ask, no, I'm not going to go and do anything stupid, I value life far too much for that." And with that she was gone.
Ranma lowered his head feeling lower than scum, he knew he had to say it, but it still hurt to see Ukyo like that.
Feeling a hand on his shoulder he looked up and saw Julia looking at him, "You did the right thing."
"Then why do I feel so guilty?"
No one could say anything to that.
