Immediately the remaining black hats began flying into a single mass, at the center of which was the red Invader. The mass quickly shifted and solidified into a familiar shape.
"A sea urchin?!" Ranma stared at the sharp and pointy spines of a 21foot across sea urchin as those spines began to shift and rotate. "THIS might be a little problem."
Sailor Pluto decided to check up on the Senshi. What else was wrong with this picture?
She waved her staff at the gates, changing the time and space viewed to:
"Oh, hi dear," said Doctor Kumori Mizuno to her daughter, then pointed at the paper. "Looks like those darn vigilantes are at it again. Imagine breaking laws and curfews and in such short skirts!"
Ami winced. "Uhm, really, well, I'm sure they're not that bad..."
"Their parents should be ashamed," said Doctor Mizuno forcefully.
"...I suppose..." said Ami, hoping that this morning would not be indicative of how the rest of the day was going to go.
"There's another editorial about them in the paper," said the mother to the daughter. "Something about how their refusal to answer certain questions on their policies has marked them as guilty by silence. Oh, and I might be a little late tonight. More than usual, that is. I've got to run down to the local Salusian embassy, I'm meeting Ambassador Fexofenadine tonight - we're discussing antiallergenic therapy for Salusian children attending school here."
Ami slumped. She couldn't mention this to the group. Luna was prone to ranting about the two-faced skunkmen apparently on the basis of something they had done 10,000 years previously. That her own mother seemed to be showing some interest in the furry fellow was simply more scandalous.
"Maybe you'd like to meet me there," coyly suggested the older Mizuno. "Theo seems to like you."
Ami slumped some more. Theophylline was Fexofenadine's oldest boy, about Ami's age. A furry, if tailless, skunkboy. He was nice, kind, polite, well spoken... and furry. "...don't you think that they're kind of... alien?"
"They're very good allies," said Doctor Mizuno. "Biologically, they're not that different from humans."
Ami muttered under her breath that she was not ready for a furry stepbrother.
"Minako! Time to get ready for school!"
The exhausted looking Minako stumbled down the stairs, accompanied by a white cat.
Setsuna watched for a few minutes but couldn't detect anything different in Minako's routine.
Usagi's house - no changes noted.
Rei's shrine. No changes.
Makoto's apartment...
Setsuna winced as she saw the changes to Makoto's apartment.
