Ranma shrugged his shoulders. he had already heard a bit of Makoto's story from her while they were riding on the bus, but he knew the others didn't. "Sure, Makoto."
Terry nodded his head. "Go for it."
Inu-Yasha shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever."
Kagome glared sideways at Inu-Yasha, but kept silent. "Well, go one Makoto. We would like to hear."
Hiei nodded his head. He could tell that Makoto Kino was very special. He and Botan were used to dealing with reincarnations, and he could see that this girl was someone with a past life... A life that held great power and prestiege.
Rika sat back in the chair, Renamon standing beside her. She wondered if there was anything with Makoto. She seemed like a regular woman to her.
Brianna relaxed on the couch, leaning against Terry. Boy, was he a beefcake. And Brianna sure loved beefcake. After all, protein was one of the four basic food-groups.
Yugi merely wondered if he should volunteer to go next.
Looking aroiund, and seeing everyone could agree to it, she said, "Okay, Makoto. You can begin."
Nodding her head, Makoto coughed to clear her voice. "Okay, you all know I'm Makoto Kino Princess of Jup..." Makoto trailed off. Shaking her head, she said, "I mean, Juuban highschool girl and an expert chef hehehe..."
The others looked at each other wondering what that beginning was all about. Botan and Hiei merely smiled.
Washu mentally groaned. Aw, this was just perfect. The truth serum she had snuck into the dinner was starting to wear off. Now when they spoke they wouldn't be as open. Washu wanted to know everything about these people that would be sharing the house with her. She wouldn't get a chance to know anything if they were secretive.
Deciding to cut her losses so no one would be suspicious, Washu looked at the clock. She smiled as a thought came to her. "Hmm... Ms. Kino, how about we continue this tomorrow? It's pretty late, past midnight. And I believe we should all be getting some rest. After all, you'll all be doing chores tomorrow."
"CHORES!?" More than one person said.
"Of course. As part of the deal to stay here, you have to take care of the Shrine." Washu explained. "And I'll be getting you all up early tomorrow so you can make/eat breakfast, AND then I'll show you all around the shrine more thoroughly so you know what to do."
"What!? That damned invitation didn't say nothin' about housework!" Inu-Yasha said.
Washu smirked. "And from what I understand, you DIDN'T get an invitation. So if you want to stay, you gotta work!"
Inu-Yasha grumbled in indignation. How dare this kid try to make him look like an idiot?
Looking around, Washu smiled as she realized the others were agreeing with her. Great. Now she could try to give them some more of her truth serum in their meals and learn the truth about all her rather 'unique' guests. "Well everyone, off to bed!"
"Looks like we have a bit of cleaning ahead of us."
