" I AM NOT!" Botan yelled as she pulled out her oar and whacked the fire youkai upside the head.
" OW! Dammit Botan quite that already...!"
" Just stick with telling them who we are, and not insulting me!" Botan huffed in anger.
" Alright, alright! Ahem, as I was saying I am a Fire Demon, you can say I've been around for a long time and as for how long I WON'T ANSWER!"
" Even I don't know his exact age." Botan mused with a mischiveous smirk.
" Whatever, on & off over the years I was a demon-for-hire or freelance fighter who either did what I wanted, or contract jobs for those with the right price. I mostly worked for myself, associating with very few people, Youkai, Reikai, or mortal."
Hiei then quickly changes the subject to the theft of the three items of Enma's vault. And how Yusuke Urameshi retrived all three and beat him at the end, and later as punishment he was inducted into Yusuke's team. As time went on he slowy 'warmed up' to the team so to speak, as they participated in danger mission after mission.
From the Saint Beasts, the Toguero Brothers, the Tournament, to the battle with Yakumo of the Neitherworld, Hiei explained himself and his role with the Spirit world. With Botan throwing in comments here and there as well as her own personal info.
As for how he knows Ranma & Inu-Yasha, he gladly fills in he used Inu-Yasha as a 'punching bag' while training back in ancient times because the Dog demon halfbreed made a good unwitting sparring partner.
Ranma helped chipped in on the story of how the fire demon and him knew each other. A youkai incident in Nerima led the Spirit Detectives to Ranma's doorstep and they endedup helpping each other out.
" And that is our story." Hiei concluded.
" Wow you've seen alot haven't you." Makoto said in slight awe.
Hiei merely shrugs, while Botan smiles. " Our jobs aren't that glorious, I ferry dead people, and aide the team, and Hiei is an expert fighter."
" Certainly would make a good novel." Terry chuckled. ' So who wants to speak up next?"
