Within the dim of the pocket dimension that Shadow Cat called home, four figures sat around a poker table. A fifth with a pigtail sat over by the buffet table, reading a scroll.
Shadow Cat shook his head.
Shadow: "Now that I didn't see coming..."
Mondhound: "You didn't put that mirror in, did you?"
Shadow: "Yep... I didn't think it would ever be used though...few ever get by the Mirror of Unpleasent Truth."
Mondhound: "Blink Blink.. Now ain't that a fine kettle of fish.. She managed knock out her 'Evil Half'."
Shadow: "No, the bouillabaise that Ranma over there is eating, is a fine kettle of fish. No that was just dumb luck. I hope she realizes that her 'Evil Half' is not just a manifestation of her dark side."
Urd looking up from where she was 'shuffling' the deck.
Urd: "Oh than what is it, then?"
Shadow: "It's a representation of her possible near future self. Exagerated, like the Mirror of Unpleasent Truth, just to make the point more poignant."
Mondhound: "So she's a cruel, mean, spirited, psycho-bitch?"
Urd: "Can we get back to the game already."
Mondhound: "I guess, by the way Shadow Cat I've been meaning to ask but who's our fourth?"
Shadow: "Oh him. Just a fanfic author I 'invited' since Anubis couldn't make it tonight."
Urd: "Why is he chained to the chair and gagged?"
Mondhound: "Can we get this game going already, I need to out here by eight. I've other appointments to keep you know."
Urd: "All right boys the name of the game is seven card stud! Hehe.."
Shadow: "..groan.. Fine what are the stakes, this time?"
Urd: "Standard fair fellows, and I'll accept boons and magical ingredients as well."
Mondhound: "Only if you win Urd. Now ante up, and could some one untie our author so he can play his hand, please?"
