"Mr. Diggers, are you sure you can't do anything at all ?" Xander's voice was bordering on desperation. Fantasying about something and having it really happen to you were two different things. He had learned that lesson well last Valentine's Day. Back home, there were a few issues of Gold Digger in his comic collection. If someone here could find a solution, it was Theodore Diggers.
"I'm really sorry, young man, but as I said earlier, all this metal around us impairs my aura magic" Theo scratched his goatee, deeply thinking about the problem "Once we're out of this place, I'll need to research a proper cure but that will necessitate lots of time and a lenghty research back home"
"Come on... Can't you cast a spell or something ?" Xander was currently surrounded by his girls who were cooing and caressing him all over. How could he or they work to find a way to defeat Ataru like this !?
A few seconds of contemplation later, Theo had found a compromise "Right now, I can't do much except perhaps mute the effects of the brainwashing down... So the girls would still be affectionate towards their 'master' but coherent enough to take decisions on their own"
"Well, it's better than nothing at least..." Tom Paris wasn't sure about this 'magic' but whatever it was, if it could get the job done, he was all for it "So we wake them up ?" He looked alternatively at Clark and Theo who reluctantly nodded.

Theodore Diggers' spell had worked mostly as intended. The girls were behaving as if their programming was only between 20 and 50% and not the 80+% level they were at.
Clark Kent sighed. Lana and Chloe were making googly eyes at him and weren't shy on making public displays of affection now and then. While the latter had demonstrated an interest in him before, Lana had a boyfriend back in Smallville. He really hoped they could be cured.
Actually, he privately thought he had been the luckiest, he had only two girls to worry about. Ranma Saotome had six girls who had imprinted on him. Tom Paris was now the main target for the affections of captain Kathryn Janeway, his wife B'Elanna Torres-Paris, the ex-borg Seven of Nine and a few Voyager female crewmembers like Samantha Wildman and the Delaney twin sisters. Theo had been reunited with his wife but was hesitant to wake up his daughters and their friends.
Unfortunately, Honey, Nuku Nuku, Alita, Ifurita, Kurumi, Rei and Drusilla's behaviors didn't change at all. They were all part or nearly fully machine and aura magic could not affect them. As for the last two, they weren't artificial but Drusilla's undead status and her own psychic powers shielded her against mental spells like that. Rei's AT-Field had activated on a subconscious level and blocked Theo's magic. Ranma wasn't out of the woods yet.
Speaking of Ranma, the regeneration cycle was almost complete.
