The other guys quickly hid as the short but feisty guy went around to the various capsules and opened them.

As soon as the girls within were awake, he spoke again. "Okay, now let's get going! Apparently there's some big heroic quest thing going on!"

The girls from Vandread immediately agreed with Hibiki Tokai. Of course, at this point he could have said nearly anything and they'd have agreed with it.

Julia Diggers made a noise. "WHAT is that girl doing?"

Rei Ayanami had made several logical steps. They needed more troops. By taking those potential troops away from the side of the enemy, they strengthened their own side while weakening the enemy. As the hologram of Ranma appeared in front of several opening capsules, she explained the remorseless logic of this situation.

In the meantime, Ataru was awake and:

• preparing to flee with the harem still loyal to him. He can start again later when he's escaped this crowd.
• preparing to do something similar to Rei's actions. Looks like a massive fight is brewing.
• tried to regain control of the central of the central computer while being remotely blocked by B'elanna, Paris, Honey, and others.
• preparing to reclaim his proper destiny. It was a good thing he grabbed some of those DC/Marvel superheroines.
• something else
