It had taken some time but Ataru had finally regained consciousness. He quickly realized that all the time he was knocked out allowed the intruders to wrest control of the palace from him and steal many of his girls. Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to order his slaves to bring him to the infirmary in such cases when a healing tank woul have done the job much quicker... But the concepts of 'Tender Loving Care' and 'Nursing Back to Health' had been so damn appealing at the time !
The opposition was continuing to wake up more girls, having them imprint on Ranma Saotome via an holographic representations. The Gold Digger women, Kurumi's fellow steel angels, the Evangelion girls and some from the Final Fantasy universes (from 6 to 10) had joined the enemy. Right now, they were adding the Slayers female cast to their forces.
Ataru Moroboshi was caught in a dilemma. What could he do to remedy this situation ? Was it even salvageable in the first place ?
He could do the same thing as them : wake up all the currently being reprogrammed girls he could and form his own army, take back what was his by force. The problem was that he didn't control anything anymore in his palace. Apparently, those Starfleet engineer types are really miracle workers. Sailor Mercury was smart but just couldn't win against B'Elanna Torres and Seven of Nine in a purely technological battle.
He could do it manually, of course, but that would take too much time in comparison with how long it took the 'good guys' to do the same. Should he choose this option, he knew where the Big Guns were at least. The women from the Marvel and DC universe had enough power to spare. With them on his side, he might just win. MIGHT being the problem.
It took him a few minutes to select his next course of action : Gather all his loyal slaves and wake up all the ones he could before boarding his ship and get the hell out of there !
When it all came down to it, Ataru Moroboshi was and stayed a coward.
Besides, there is an infinity of universes out there, ready for the picking. He could start again somewhere else and find identical (or nearly so) counterparts of the girls he lost. All in all, it would be only a minor setback in his grand dream of having the darn biggest harem of the Multiverse.
But first, he would have to find a way to discourage those 'heroes' to go after him while he made his escape. He smiled then laughed evilly. He knew exactly what to do !
