Just as Rook was about to take the undead idiots away Gothwrain showed up, "Hold on Rook, I want to talk to the Lich King, and those three need to hear it as well." Rook nodded and Gothwrain turned to the Lich King. "I have an idea, that boy who is a Wu said something about someone getting a free power-up when he was being brought here, correct?"
Ryoga spoke up, "Yes, my eternal nemesis, Ranma Saotome, he got a power-up and turned into a big, black werecat with really big teeth."
Gothwrain smirked, "I figured as much, all three are really good fighters, and two of them have magic just floating around them. So if their nemisis is like them, then he is the weresmilidon, and that Wu just proved it to me."
The Lich King was impressed that Gothwrain was that observant, but wanted to know how he knew. "Very good observation skills, but how did you figure that out from a few words and an aura reading?"
Gothwrain smirked, "I am very old and observant, that and the fact I had a psyconist mage scan their minds." Lich King nodded, he figured as much. "Anyways, I fugured that we should test the weresmilidon to see how good he is, or even take him out."
Lich King raised an eyebrow, or at least as good as one can with no skin. "And how do you propose that?"
Grinning Gothwrain continued, "Simple, we send him," pointing at Kuno, "to fight the weresmilidon."
Ryoga spoke up, "Hold on, Kuno's the weakest of us. Ranma beat him up everyday in Nerima easily."
"Exactly, that's my point, he'd expect you to give him a work-out, but not Kuno."
Mousse blinked, "Hey Hibiki, it would actually be a good thing to send Kuno, Ranma would expect us to use magic or something to catch up to him and even surpass him, Kuno's never done anything like that."
"What about the watermelons?"
"That was training."
"What about that magic sword?"
"Hmm, forgot about that, but still, you and I have used magic to cheat more than Kuno has, so Ranma wouldn't be expecting this." Leaning close to whisper to Ryoga, "Besides, this will get him out of our hair for a while, and you know how annoying he is."
Ryoga nodded, "Yes, that will be a good idea, send Kuno."
Gothwrain and Lich King grinned, well the latter as well as he could anyways. Lich King turned to Kuno, "How about it? How would you like to vanquish your enemy?"
Kuno bowed to the Lich King, "I will do everything in my power to eliminate the foul Saotome and free the beuious Akane Tendo and the fierce Pig-tailed girl."
Everyone had a sweatdrop on their heads when they heard this. Lich King shook his head, but still had the sweatdrop, "Whatever, take this" and with a flick of his bony wrist, he gave Kuno a magic sword with a black blade. (Think Kagato's sword from Tenchi Universe.) "Now get out of here." And with that, he teleported Kuno away.
In Atlanta. . .
Ranma was just walking down the street (in human form) thinking about what had happened, after he told the former fiancees off, some of the other girls tried to cheer him up, he appreciated their efforts, but he needed time to think. The Edge Guard and the NHS crew, (as they called them-selves), stayed for dinner and were spending the night, tomarrow most, if not all, of them would go home. Jetta and her husband would be heading home in the morning as well, still it wasn't a complete loss, Julia had put him up and allowed him to stay, so that he could learn the ins and outs of being a lycanthrope, and Theo wanted to see if he could undo Iceron's programming so that he wouldn't have to worry about any relapses.
When Ranma turned a corner, there was a flash of light, and when that light cleared Ranma saw someone he never wanted to see again, "Kuno."
"Saotome, you shall not defeat me this time, for I have sworn legence to a powerful force, the Lich King and High Elder Gothwrain of the Wererats. They have given me more power than I had ever had previously, and there is no way that you can defeat me."
Kuno continued to talk but Ranma tuned him out and narrowed his eyes at him, 'So it seems Kuno's working with someone named the Lich King, and from what Lydia said Gothwrain was her boss and told her to get the orb of Felebast which changed me in the first place, hmm, the Diggers might want to know about this.'
Ranma then tuned Kuno back in just as he was finishing his speech. "And so, you have no chance, now PREPARE YOURSELF!!" And with that Kuno charged at great speeds, rivaling that of Taro, Ranma almost lost his head as he was unprepared for such a dramatic improvement, the only thing saving him was his reflexes. "I see you are no match for me, give up so that I may slay you quickly, and that we may end this farce."
"Whatever Kuno." Ranma retorted as he jumped away, quickly summoning some of his armor, to protect against that sword, Ranma shifted into hybrid form. "Let's see you fight me now."
"What sorcery is this? I knew you were bad, but I never thought that you would ally yourself with the foul werecats that have plagued the wererats for years."
"Shut up fool, the wererats betrayed Iceron first, so he made us to take care of them." Kuno growled and charged Ranma, swinging his sword at Ranma intent on cutting him in half. Ranma jumped at the very last second, and kicked Kuno in the back.
Instead of falling down like before, Kuno just grunted, "Fool, you cannot take on an undead servant of the Lich King."
"Undead? Doesn't that mean you're already dead?"
"Yes you knave, now die!" Kuno charged again, only this time, he found himself cut in half right down the middle, curtousy of a scythe made out of shadows, and since it was dark out, Kuno didn't even see it coming.
Ranma shook his head at Kuno, "I can't believe you would sell your soul to someone just to beat me." Picking up Kuno's sword, he decided to take it with him so that Kuno wouldn't hurt anyone else, he headed back to the Diggers, forgeting that he was in hybrid form and wearing his armor, good thing the clothes that he was given could stretch to fit him in his hybrid form, even if he towered over all the other weres.
"What?!? My father is back in power and Gothwrain is helping him?"
"So you found out, have you?"
