And that's when she saw Ukyou and that other girl of Sander's. She frowned briefly and considered leaving the scene before they noticed her.
"Oops," she thought as Ukyou turned around. "Too late."
"Hey, want to come along?" Ukyou asked. "We're getting some stuff from Kodachi's family home." Jetta firmed her expression and then nodded.
"It is probably adviseable to not travel alone in these days," Kodachi added.
"Fine," she said. "I need to talk to you anyway." Ukyou twitched.
"Yeah," the chef said.

"I hope you don't take this as a sort of game," Jetta said to Ukyou later as they were in the house, looking things over. Kodachi was in her room within earshot and the range of scent as they looked through the kitchen for food stock.
"Don't worry about that sugar," Ukyou said.
"Really," Jetta said. "You seem to have made your decision pretty quickly."
"Yeah, well...I'm old-fashioned that way," Ukyou said hesitantly.
"Old-fashioned?" Jetta answered irritably. "Like the Marquis de Sade?"
"Hmph," Ukyou said. "You want a breakdown of my tastes?" She asked, keeping her voice down somewhat so the argument wouldn't carry too far. "Fine. I have a bit of a thing for being in control. I like bondage, and I like playing the dom."
"You like..." she paused. "Wait a minute, this isn't your first relationship?"
"Well, I spent ten years pretending to be a guy," Ukyou said. "I dated a couple of times to keep the cover. And well, one of them was keeping her own cover...and found out about me...and...well...we kind of learned about this stuff together..." She gestured in embarrassment.
"I see," Jetta said, not sure how to take that. "So what happened to her?"
"She was hit by a car," Ukyou said grimmly.
"Oh, sorry," Jetta said.
"Anyway," Ukyou said. "The docs say I have abandonment issues and gender-confusion issues and control issues and so on and that's why I like BDSM." She shrugged again.
"Docs, eh?" Jetta said. "You've had therapy." Jetta wasn't really liking the sounds of this, though she had to admit that Ukyou sounded more mature than she had first taken her to be.
Ukyou twitched and groaned but relented.
"At the end of their first year here, Ranma and Akane almost got married," Ukyou said. "I was part of what messed it up. Anyway, there was an...accident with one of my kitchen knives and next thing I know, Konatsu has quietly arranged for a nice, long, quiet 'training trip' for me in this hospital. They decided I was good to go after about three months. And all the while Konatsu was covering for me here...bless his...err...her heart." She frowned as she remembered what Konatsu was like right now.
"Must have been some...accident," Jetta said critically. "And you still haven't said why you're settled on marrying my brother."
"I told you," Ukyou said. "I'm a little old fashioned. Kodachi may be my second female lover, but Sander is my first male lover. Besides...I'm late."
"'Late?'" Jetta repeated, not liking the sound of that. She took a sniff and twitched.
"Well, I don't know for certain yet," Ukyou said. "For all I know changing into a werewolf may have fucked with my cycle, so I haven't said anything yet, but yeah. I'm late." Then she noticed Jetta's expression. "What's with you, sugar?"
"You're not wrong," Jetta said simply. Ukyou blinked and considered the sound of that.
"So I'm not imagining things," Ukyou said. "I'm..."
"Pregnant," Jetta said. "Yes."
"Oh," Ukyou said before swooning, being caught by Jetta.

Akane watched as Kodachi paced through her room and packed things up. She held her position quietly as a small, insignificant rodent, hoping they would continue not to notice her.
Then Kodachi sat at her desk and surreptitiously produced a small vial of red liquid and stared at it for a long moment. There was no telling if it still held its potency or not, and likely it wouldn't affect her anyway.
She had mixxed it a long time ago and sealed it in the vial, safe from the air. Once she opened it would be good for about twenty seconds and after that it would have evaporated into the air. For a long time she had spent nights trying to decide whether to destroy it or drink it.
Funny, now that it couldn't hurt her it actually made her a little afraid. She wondered briefly why that was. It was very curious, her hands never shook on reaching for it before. Sight of it had never chilled her blood before. But now, when it couldn't hurt her, she was...scared.
She quickly opened the vial and watched it vanish into a harmless mist as she counted the seconds aloud.
"1...2...3...4...5...6...7..." she whispered. The fear getting stronger as the liquid dispersed. She couldn't even let go of the vial now. Then she hit twenty and she was holding an empty vial which she dropped as if it were silver.
She wanted Sander or Ukyou then, badly, and she at least could find one quickly.
