Ranma expected it to go wrong. There was that tiny little bit of hope, that childlike desire that the world not stomp on him, but he was getting to the point where he was covering Ryouga-levels of depression under his attitude.

Cold water dripped down onto the tile floor of the store.

"It... was real," said Ranma in evident disbelief. "I'm cured..."

"Yeah," said the Wizard. "Now about your fiancee."

"I'm cured," repeated Ranma, his voice a little stronger.

"Right, now about your fiancee's gift," said the Wizard.

"I'm CURED! CURED I TELL YOU BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

The Wizard shook his head as Ranma raced out the door.

A girl from in back came out and stared incredulously at the Wizard.

The Wizard smirked back. "Just wait till all the other cursed people find out about this."

"Ahhhh!" The girl gave a nod. "Now it makes sense."
