"Don't even think about looking at me, Gina," Britanny said in the same tone of voice. "You could have told me that Persia was the old name for Iraq!"
"Oh, and who was complaining about their credit card bills and insisted I find something to do?" Gina retorted.
"I still swear I have no idea how some of those bills ended up on my card," Brit said, glaring sideways at the wererat.
"So what are all these people doing here?" Ranma asked, who hadn't been aware that Iraq was a bad place to be. Until she got there and the sand started getting in her hair. Magic she was very talented at, but geopolitics was something her tutor, Dr. Diggers, hadn't managed to interest her in.
Unlike Cheetah, Ranma and Lydia preferred to hold their human disguise unless they needed it, however, so they weren't having near the sand problems that the cat was.
"It looks like some sort of arms deal," Gina said.
Lydia nodded and looked over the edge of the dune carefully. Technically she was a psyche major, but she took a lot of physical education, language and criminology classes as well. She was angling for FBI or CIA...something like that anyway.
She had snuck on this trip for a combination of an internship studying the psychology of the "Gold Digger" for college credit and to see if she could get a share of whatever Gina snagged.
Of course, Ranma had stowed away and now they were stuck with her.
"There certainly are enough $@#$in' guns," Lydia noted. "So everybody."
"ACHOO!"
"You dweeb," Britanny and Lydia said at once.
"Gina..." Ranma said nervously.
