Lamp Of Mihoshi: Heir to the House Of El [Episode 40031]

by Kestral

Magic went out to the Land of The Djinn and returned a billionfold.

The 'Land Of The Djinn' that Washu had probed and Mihoshi had made her wish regarding was an ancient and powerful realm - but not one even close to the sort of thing beings from normal space/time could exist in. They, however, were intrigued by the possibilities shown through their contact with these lower-energy beings and sought to shunt sufficient energies out of their verse to create "islands of stability" where things did NOT change from moment to moment based on the whims and conflicts of Will.

The past changed. Two timelines, neither quite 'canon' - mingled.

There had been many of the House Of El who had excelled in one thing or another. Jor-El, a leading scientist; Val-El the explorer; Sul-El and Hatu-El who had been major inventors; Gam-El who had been a major force in Kryptonian architecture; and so on.

It had been Jor-El who had discovered that an instability in Krypton's core had developed and was growing rapidly. That this core would eventually reach a point that would cause a cascade effect, a chain reaction that would destroy the planet.

"My son," said Jor-El, his hand on the birthing matrix. "There are many things I would bequeath to you, but this is all I can do for you."

"The planetquakes are increasing, Jor-El," said Lara, frowning out at the cityscape visible through a transparented section of wall. "Are you sure?"

"I have made arrangements," said Jor-El.

"I've made some too," said Lara.

"You have?" asked Jor-El, surprised.

Lara nodded. "He will need to have many children so that the legacy of Krypton does not vanish."

"Well, I suppose," said Jor-El. "What exactly did you do?"

"I made arrangements," repeated Lara. "My son will be very manly. A man among men, and a superman among women."

"That sounds a bit odd," confessed Jor-El.

"Even if I die here with you," said Lara, "it sets my mind at ease knowing that my son will survive and father a great many children."

"Uh huh," said Jor-El, thinking that his wife had maybe researched the ancient methods of procreation a bit too much.

Genma Saotome watched as the ship crashed exactly where the mysterious ghost had said it would.

"Finally," said Nodoka, getting up to stand next to her husband.

Genma nodded, carefully putting a crystal back into his pouch. His price for this were three martial arts styles. Horo-Kanu was one that used pressure points. The two other styles were more to Genma's liking, as one was primarily avoidance and deflection while the other was more like a variation of karate.

Nodoka's eyes gleamed. Lara had discovered who Jor-El had been communicating with and had contacted HER as a result. The discussions had been quite interesting, though certain technical and cultural references had been quite beyond her. Nonetheless, she thought she had the basics.

The odd spacecraft opened up as they approached, but for some reason the baby within seemed reluctant to leave it.
