"I'm going to break it off, Artemis." Minako said in a serious voice as she lay on her bed.
"Of course," the white cat responded blandly, not even bothering to lift his head.
"This time I'm serious! I am going to break it off with him!" Mina said, rising to her feet.
"Like you were going too last week."
"We bumped into those friends of his and I couldn't embarrass him like that."
"Or the week before that."
"There was that hurt dog we had to bring to the vets. I couldn't break up with him right after something like that."
"How about the week before. . ."
"ALLRIGHT!! It's hard to make myself look him in the eye and say 'We have to break up'. But I have to so I'll do it!" Minako glared at the cat. "I'm surprised you're not being more enthusiastic. You and Luna were the ones who kept telling me to break it off."
Artemis rose, stretched and looked at her. Then sighed. "I know what I said. And as Sailor Venus's partner I think it's for the best. But as Minako Aino's friend, I'm nowhere near as certain. It's hard to tell you to stop seeing someone who makes you so happy."
Minako looked at Artemis a moment, then shook her head. "It doesn't matter. I'm Sailor Venus, and I have a duty to protect Usagi."
"You do protect her the best you can." Artemis responded.
"And how good was that two days ago?!" Minako responded angrily. "A Daimon almost killed Usagi, and I was too busy making out to get there in time!"
"Usagi's ok. . ."
"Because Ranma showed up!!!" Mina responded angrily. "I don't know about you, but when someone who hates our guts is more helpful than me, something has to change!"
