Asrial turned her head to look at Ranma. She looked at the contours of his muscle as his muscle shirt clung to his skin with sweat. He wasn't tall, or incredibly buff, but he was incredibly toned for someone his height and build. VERY nice.
A small chill ran up Ranma's back as be was pushing a rather large brick-placement into a section of the pyramid's wall that got damaged. He recognized that chill. Someone was watching him intently. "Probably sensei..." Ranma thought. After all, Julia, Gar, Luan, and Carla were watching them work, making sure they fixed the pyramid and put the Dojo back correctly.
However, as Asrial watched Ranma work, she recieved a shock as she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around and saw Jalliele'Brea, only she had taken off most of her royal robes and dress and was wearing a simple, white dress. "You stare any longer and your face will stay that way." Archon warned in a teasing way.
Rolling her eyes, Asrial replied, "I can't help it! I mean, look at him!"
Turning her vision towards Ranma, Archon also let off a soft sigh. "I know what you mean... He is nice-looking. A definite prime specimen of his species."
Smiling, Asrial nodded her head. "Yeah... I can't wait to marry him..."
Archon shook her head. It really annoyed her how the Salusian just thought she could storm in and claim Ranma's hand. Damn it, Archon wanted to get to personally know Ranma to see if he was compatible with her! "Asrial..." Archon began.
"What?" Asrial asked, turning to the annoyed Kryn Empress.
Archon crossed her arms over her chest. "Tell me... Asrial... Why do you want Ranma? Love or duty?"
Asrial gawked. "Didn't we just go over this an hour ago?"
Archon nodded her head. "Yes, but you still didn't give me your answer. Is this quest you're on out of the goodness of your heart, or is guilt driving you on? Do you insist on marrying him out of love for Ranma, or duty to your people?"
Silence passed between the two members of extraterrestrial royatly for a long moment. Finally, Asrial looked down and let out a sigh. "I don't know..."
Archon nodded her head. "I see... Well, then, how about we each try to find out how we feel?"
Asrial blinked as she looked at the Kryn Empress. "Huh"?
Smiling, Archon nodded her head. "Yes. You see, I'm sorry if I came off as rather 'bitchy' when we first met, but you have to understand. I never could stand those that just come into an area and do whatever they feel like without asking. You were practically demanding Ranma married you, and he obviously doesn't know you greatly. I'm sure he knows who you are and a bit about you, but I have a feeling you are a total mystery to him."
Asrial's shoulders slumped and she looked dejected. "I have no chance of being with him, do I?"
Shaking her head, Archon said, "That is not true. I think either of us have a good chance of being with Ranma."
Asrial blinked her eyes. "What are you saying?'
Smiling, Archon answered, "What I'm suggesting is that we should not push Ranma into this. I feel we should give him a fair chance to get to know us first, before we try pouncing on him with the idea of marriage."
Nodding her head, Asrial was beginning to understand where Archon was heading with this. "You want that we should give each other equal opportunity to let Ranma to get to know us?"
"Exactly." Archon answered. "And then we let Ranma go from there. It should be his choice who he should be with."
Asrial smirked. "Agreed! Hell, by being nice to him and doing this civilized, we'll already have a better running than those Nerima bitches!"
Archon nodded her head. "My sentiments exactly."
"HEY!" Ranma called out to the alien royals. "LESS TALKING, MORE WORKING!"
"Yes Ranma!" Archon and Asrial said at the same time, and went back to working on the pyramid.
"How would you do that?"
"Using my Artifact, this really would be a simple job of 'mind over matter'..."
" Why ME Kami-sama!?"
