Within Nerima, chaos was beginning to ensue.
No one had seen Ranma after school, as all of the fiancées and rivals had shown up, hoping to either spend the break with Ranma or attack him before the break so they could spend time with their loves.
So, after the girls proceeded to thoroughly beat Kuno and Mousse for being in the way (well, Ryoga beat Mousse because Mousse attacked him thinking he was Ranma), and Ryoga got lost; the three headed for the Dojo.
And thus Kasumi informed them that Ranma had left for a short training trip over break.
And thus chaos branched.
The two fathers grabbed Akane, proclaiming they would track down “the boy” and teach him to not take his fiancée with him ... even if she couldn’t cook and had no skills.
Akane beat them down, and then dragged them off to find Ranma, as she was afraid he was cheating on her again.
Shampoo bounced off to the Nekohanten to talk with her great-grandmother on tracking down Ranma.
Ukyo went off to get Konatsu’s help to track down Ranma and help him, as was befitting of the “cute fiancée”.
Nabiki shook her ehad, turning to her sister. “Think he went to see and train under the Diggers again?”
Kasumi nodded. “I believe so. He seemed so happy to be training with her. He said she was stronger than anyone he’d ever met.”
Nabiki nodded. She too had heard Ranma’s mutterings as he slept, still recovering from something that seemed to include dragons, skunks, and a creature called a peebo.
She turned to Kasumi. “You think Kodachi would run us there?”
Kasumi paused a bit. “Well, she did say she wanted to take me on a vacation...”
After Kodachi and Ranma’s friendship, the formerly deluded Black Rose came by to see him one time, but Ranma wasn’t there; out saving Akane from The Squirrel King and his “powers of squirrelly wrath!” (No relation to Foamy the Squirrel, even if the King does steal most of his material from Foamy.)
(But Foamy has made plans to deal with the Squirrel King, you can bet on that.)
The good thing for Nabiki’s sanity and view of the world ... was that she didn’t know exactly how close the two had become, or that Kodachi’s invite included the phrase “mile-high club”.
“I’ll call her, but I am certain she could run us to Atlanta.”
Nabiki nodded. “Okay then, I’ll start packing while you call her.”
Nodding, Kasumi started humming as she went to the phone.
